  3. Thanks @TrevorKillick! In this case, what would be the best way to access an archived log file? Should I raise a support call?
  4. Morning, I have a couple of questions regarding log files: - What is the lifespan of a single log file? - Where can I access a previous log file? When I use the log file viewer, it only searches within the current log file it seems. Indeed, when I download the log file I can see on the first row a reference to where is stored the previous log file. But the web screen does not access it.

  7. Hi guys, Some of my colleagues reported some strange behaviour with charts in the "My Dashboard" view of the request list. Below is an email I received. " I have created my Hornbill dashboard beginning of April. It worked fine. Beginning of May I changed some of the criteria as some charts are supposed to only show the data of the current month. For example for zz-MES, I changed the date to 01/05/17 to only see the calls raised from the 1st of May: I checked the Chart, it seemed ok, clicked Save and Close. However the chart displayed in my dashboard is not updated. It looks as if the date has not been changed: In the Chart section, if I click on Edit then Save the Chart (without changing anything), the image changes: And I think that the chart on my dashboard is correct now: But for other charts it did not work. I had to do “Preview Chart” before saving as just Edit -> Save did not work. Why when I change the criteria the chart does not automatically take into account the new criteria? What is the rule so that the charts are updated correctly? (it seems a little bit random…)" Would anybody be able to share some knowledge on how this works exactly? I am quite puzzled too to be honest. Thanks!
  8. @Gerry, @Chaz, Thank you so much for coming back to me on this one! This will be very useful when communicating with my colleagues and giving them the direct URL to the report executions, until you come up with a new interface for accessing reports and dashboard from Service Manager

Hi @Gerry, So far what I have in mind is about gather feedback from our analysts on the relevance of the BPMs implemented (suggesting improvements as a poll), dashboards / slideshows / reports they would like to see (again, provide a list of reports as poll answers), Organizing team events (via team workspaces), gathering number of people interested in a particular feature improvement (so that I can back up my requests to you with numbers), experiences faced with customers (good or bad) and random technical quizz for my team to challenge them mentally on some aspects of our daily job. Note that this list is not exhaustive but reflects pretty much the wide range of polls I would submit on posts if I had the possibility to do so I hope it answers your question Gerry? If not, let me know

  13. Hi, This might sound like a stupid idea or maybe I simply missed something but is it possible to submit a poll as part of a question / post on a workspace or personal buzz? That would be a great way for me (as an admin) to collect information and feedback from my colleagues about Hornbill as well as any other topics? It would also encourage people to use Workspaces a bit more... Let me know what you think

  15. @David Calder stupid question but which browser are you using? I have noticed a big difference between Chrome / Firefox and IE when it comes to UI auto refresh... And as you can imagine IE is not the best browser

  17. @lee mcdermott I am not an expert at all with this ( @TrevorKillick usually is the master in my personal experience) but I was reviewing the source code of the utility (https://github.com/hornbill/goHornbillCleaner/blob/master/hornbillCleaner.go) and here is the piece of code failing: If my understanding is correct, something went wrong when executing the SQL statement to count the number of records. This is done via the API method "sqlQuery" under data: https://eurapi.hornbill.com/northumberlandcc/xmlmc/data/?op=sqlQuery Which makes me wonder: did you change the rights of the admin account? Last time I had a similar message was because I removed a role from the admin account by mistake.

  20. @Bob320, @DougA, I might be wrong but I think you can run dashboards and slideshows with the role "Dashboard viewer". I our current setup, we are using an AD system account with the following roles: Dashboard Viewer Report User Then, I made sure this particular account has rights on every dashboards to be displayed on our TV monitors. And it works like a charm Basically, you do not need a full admin account to run dashboards. Anybody with a Service Manager license and the role "Dashboard Viewer" can view dashboards and slideshows (unless I am wrong and a simple Collaboration license + "Dashboard viewer" role is enough). As for the direct link to slideshows, you can use the autoplay feature: https://admin.hornbill.com/crown/app/com.hornbill.servicemanager/analytics/slideshows/5/play/ Note the "/play/" at the end? This will automatically start the presentation of the slideshow All you have to do is setup the PC displayed on the TV monitor to your slideshow in "autoplay" as the default web browser page and off you go!

  22. @James Ainsworth yes I know it works like you described it, but this is exactly the problem we face due to people not configuring their language properly... And here you guessed right: the field is not populated nor maintained in the AD. So basically, your recommendation is for me to manually update the profiles of each user. Question: if I update a profile from English to German, the posts language from english to german (for that user) and then go back to a request logged by that user with some german text, will I then get the "translate" button? Or is the language saved outside the database accessible tables?
