AlexOnTheHill Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 I checked self service to see if there were any changes and it looks like catalogue items can now overflow and have also been squeezed horizontally: Current: New:
EWA Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 We find that on number of screens the darkmode or high contrast - some text becomes invisible - for eample emilas

Is anything before 2016 reportable? (N/A to us but might be to others..)
EWA Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 So we have our employee portal configure with some white text and therefore with the darkmode /high contrast the text becomes invisible. The setting you mentioned under My Profile - doesn't seem to make any difference to the portal .
AlexOnTheHill Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 The pattern of squeezing the display horizontally seems to be consistent everywhere I look. Here's how Intelligent Captures compare: Current New You will see that the language drop down no longer matches the height of the Properties Language too. All these areas that are being compressed are the space where agents and administrators do most of their work. This is where I would make space available for, not remove space from.
AlexOnTheHill Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 The user list suffers from being used in portrait mode in the preview Current: Preview:
Alisha Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 When creating captures, the Multi line text field Default Value line is much narrower than in the old UI. Please could this be changed so it's the same as the old UI.
Berto2002 Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 Messy buttons when generating support passcode. Looks like it's caused by the width reduction/margins/spacing issues and causing wrap
Daniel Dekel Posted September 28, 2023 Author Posted September 28, 2023 Hello Everyone: Here are the responses for the latest comments: @Adrian Simpkins - One thing i have had fed back is the copy request window doesn't show the whole name of the users found... https://community.hornbill.com/topic/25439-preview-new-user-interface-for-core-ui/?do=findComment&comment=118434 [Daniel D] This will be fixed in the next few Service Manager build @AlexOnTheHill - I've noticed that emails in the sent items now take up roughly twice the vertical space too... https://community.hornbill.com/topic/25439-preview-new-user-interface-for-core-ui/?do=findComment&comment=118436 [Daniel D] There are users who want to see more details to avoid clicking on each email. Adrian Simpkins Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 Hi Daniel Another item one of my users has noted is that if you open a post to amend the text under the new UI they are getting a You do not have rights to view this post message as per below - under current UI they are able to amend the text Many thanks Adrian
MichelleReaney Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 I have an issue to report:- Our default Change Request Intelligent Capture has a custom form to complete information and is only used in the analyst portal. In the new UI I am unable to type correctly in the first form field - this is a Multi-text field and the others on this form are working ok - I have tried in Chrome and Edge. For example I have just written - this is what i want to type and this is what is displayed I could only start to type when I clicked my cursor further into the field.
Adrian Simpkins Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 Hi Daniel, Another thing we have noted - if you view a board in the new UI, the text in the card displays aok, but then when searching text it inserts <ins>add</ins> in the found text: View with no search: View when searching text (I searched just the text 'add a' in the search box: Many thanks !

TrevorHarris Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 @Adrian Simpkins I think this issue isn't related the the new UI, I think it is a bug in Board manager to do with that search term 'add a' which I can also replicate in the old UI. Will raise a defect for it for Boardmanager Thanks Trevor 1
Adrian Simpkins Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 Thanks Trevor - I didn't think to check in the old UI - if I see anymore issues raised around the new UI raised I will do that before raising, just so I can provide as much information as possible. I will monitor for the patch fix and let the user know Many thanks as always !
Emily Patrick Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 On our category end nodes, I've noticed the following, which while sometimes can be useful, doesn't seem to be as it should behave, as you can see by the picture below: The cancelled has the arrow pointing to the right, so you shouldn't be able to see what's in the drop down, the same with the resolved. If I click on the arrow, to expand, and then to hide it again, it just stays as above. @Estie, @Art at BU - just an FYI 1
Emily Patrick Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 On 27/09/2023 at 06:35, Daniel Dekel said: @Berto2002 - I don't like the fact that the new UI has a collapsible search area. We use the search ALL THE TIME but this change has just given us all an additional click every time we want to search for something. This is a productivity loss for all HB customers. There is no gain to hiding the search because there is nothing else on that layer of the UI to clear space for. I request reverting this to permanently displayed search bar [Daniel D] Thanks for your feedback - The new UI for the Global Search did not change the number of clicks. When you search you need to click on the search button and then the text input gets focused automatically, so no aditional click is needed. You can also use the shortcut Alt+X (in windows) to get there faster. Once you open the search it remains open unless you close it. In relation to the above response to the new search option, I've clicked on the magnifying glass to search for a ticket, opened ticket from the results, all fine. I then went and put a different ticket reference into the URL instead of the search box, and when that page loaded the ticket, the search box was minimised again. I didn't select it to minimise, so it doesn't seem to do what you've mentioned above @Daniel Dekel in response to Berto2002's post about the new search box.
Estie Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Morning we have received feedback that the difference visually between on hold and open tickets is slightly harder to see with the new view if you've opened them and they lose the blue highlight In the current system the on hold requests have a slightly greyed out/light blue highlighting, which is not distinguishable in the preview. Non Preview: Preview: Thanks
Estie Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 We have had further feedback from a user as below. I have given some alternative suggestions - however is this something you may consider adding? Thanks suggestion for the new interface that would be really useful is when I am dealing with a ticket and have finished with it and am wanting to move onto another, it would be really helpful if the below was available on the page:- At the moment I have to either hit the back button or click on the button to select Service Manager which then gives me the above menu. Not sure if there is currently an easier way to access the menu above with the current interface but just wanted to flag in case not and if it is something that can be introduced into the new interface.
7oaks Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Is it possible to adjust the columns in the mailbox. The current version isnt too bad but the previous version is even narrower in the email list. I'd like all 3 adjustable if possible.
Steve Giller Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 @7oaks I've merged your comment with the existing thread.
