  1. Thanks @Daniel Dekel - much appreciated
  2. Hi, Very frequuently we get an email from our Finance System which contains a table containing a list of records and whether or not they are errored. A ticket is automatically generated once it detects this email. And as it should, the body of the email becomes the description of the ticket. Howeve because it is a table, the formatting is severely messed up in the Request Details making it hard to read. Here the images should speak for themselves: Body of the email: # Result in ticket: So I was wondering if the Email Routing or Applying the Email to a ticket can detect a table and format it in some way so it's readable in the description? Even if it's converting each row into a bullet or number Or if it's possible to detect spaces in the text and detecting each column in a row format it like so I don't think we can amend the output of this email as I believe it's hard-coded so am hoping that there is something that can be done via the Hornbill Processing to help make these easier to read (without having to go to the Email Source each time) (Also is Hornbill capable of having tabs?) Thanks, Samuel
  3. I guess what I meant to say was to be able to "reply" to an email a customer may have sent that was applied to a ticket via email routing, or a customer timeline update. I'm just thinking about how this would work with existing email templates or snippets... How about having it so against a post in the timeline where if post = "Email Routing" OR post = "Customer Update" then add an option to "Reply" to it from within the post itself. We could then also define snippets the same way we do normally, but with the inclusion of having a variable to pull the content of the Post in the Timeline into it. A similar thing could be applied to Workspace Comments where a user can quote what someone has said and it automatically encloses their response in a [ blockquote ] I hope i'm making sense, i've been rewriting this for 10 mins :O Thanks, Samuel
  4. Hi @Daniel Dekel, Nice one, thanks! Right so I hope that my other request for being able to Quote from timeline/workspace/email can be the main highlight for this post. Many thanks, Samuel
  5. OMG I had no idea *gasp* - it looks gooood. I was just looking at the Wiki Markup document on the Wiki and it's not there, hidden feature? Are there any other new Wiki Markup codes that are not showing on the Wiki? Many thanks, Samuel
  6. Hi, We have a Wiki Markup for [ code ], but i'm just wondering if we could have one for [ quote ] ? So what i was thinking was having some options available.. Simple Quote: To simply put text in a nicely formatted text box, if you are quoting a message from someone, say from Skype for Business or when responding to an email they sent into Hornbill etc. [ quote ] [ /quote ] Simple Quote with free text: To simply put text in a nicely formatted text box along with another box on top to include the custom text, if you are quoting a message from someone, say from Skype for Business or when responding to an email they sent into Hornbill etc. [ quote text="Message from Bob" ] [ /quote ] [ quote text="Question 1" ] [ /quote ] [ quote text="Question 2" ] [ /quote ] [ quote text="Victor" ] [ /quote ] Quote from timeline I think I raised this already in another post somewhere on the forums but the ability to quote a timeline post which can be directed to the Email functionality, Comment functionality or Update Timeline funcitonality. This would populate with the name of the user we are quoting, the time and date etc. Just throwing this out there as I am currently using [ code ] [ /code ] To quote people and it isn't very pretty or easy to read. And with the inclusion of being able to send Wiki Markup formatting via emails, this is quite important for when a customer comes to read it via email or the Portal. Thanks, Samuel
  7. @Keith Stevenson I had forgotten about adding anything Bethesda related! I LOVE Skyrim and Fallout 4 and cannot wait for the sequels. I was playing Daggerfall when I was 6 years old in '96 (Mum didn't know!) and Fallout 1 a few years later, and have stuck with those series ever since. (will have a look at your stats in a moment)
  8. Is @Victor going to be there as well? Anyway looking forward to it, hopefully I can get more of my colleagues to tag along.
  9. It's not every day you find fellow Hornbill users and staff discussing about games, but hey I spotted some on the forums! I'm interested to know whether you are a Gamer, what systems you play on, what Genre's you like, your favourite game and what you are playing at the moment... a lot to ask I know but a gamer will do so anyway Primary System: PC Specs: 1. Graphics: NVidia 1080 GTX 2. CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K 3. Motherboard: Intel Z170 Chipset Motherboard 4. RAM: 16GB 5. Monitor: ASUS vg248qe 6. Mouse: Corsair M65 RGB 7. Headset: Corsair VOID Wireless 8. Keyboard: Corsair K70 RGB Rapidfire 9. Mouse Mat: Corsair MM800 RGB 10. Preferred Controller: PS4 Controller I use Steam for most of my games. Here is what I am playing now that's on there: 1. Playerunknowns Battlegrounds 2. Rocket League 3. ARMA 3 4. GTA V My top 3 favourite Genres: 1. RPG 2. Adventure 3. Action My most favourite games of all time: 1. The Legend of Zelda series 2. Final Fantasy Series (cant wait for the FF7 remake!!!!!) 3. Rocket League 4. Playerunknowns Battlegrounds 5. Tomb Raider 6. Resident Evil series 7. Mario series (including the RPG's) 8. Pokémon... once you start as a kid in the 90's you'll still be playing the series as an adult. Other Systems: 1. PlayStation 4 (plus VR) - Have loads of PSVR games such as Resident Evil, also play non-VR games such as Final Fantasy 15 as well. 2. Nintendo Switch - Got a load of them, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is my favourite to date 3. Nintendo 3DS - Mainly for the Pokémon and Zelda games 4. Nintendo Wii U - Same as above Now it's your turn, why don't you share yours?
  10. Hi @Gerry, Thanks for your detailed response. That method of storage is not something I know very much about so am happy with your explanation into how it all works and it makes sense. But yes in short I am talking about a File Manager app, very much like Document Manager as you say, but for files of all types. Just thinking about this almost makes it sound like it can plug in to every aspect of Service Manager and other apps you provide, including the Portals. I wonder if when such a time comes that this gets developed that the ability to link with OneDrive and others which will truly make this shine. Thanks Gerry!, Samuel
  11. Hello, When we upload files into Hornbill, they are obviously stored somewhere... I was wondering if we could have access to this file storage and maintain it in some ways? Ie. add tags to the files, viewing what people have uploaded, grouping them and being able to upload files this way. I am have tried different methods where I want to upload a couple of images I would like to use in a Workspace post... or even in the timeline of a ticket The first method was to upload to a folder on our network, then pull in the FTP url... this didnt work The second method which took a while was to upload to a folder on our network that is visible to Hornbill, whilst this works it was time consuming, as I had to navigate via FTP to the file itself then extract the EXACT URL - not very user friendly. The third method was to use Document Manager... whilst this worked a little, it would eventually clutter the libraries and doesn't really make sense to store in that location. The fourth method was to create a Workspace called "Image Uploads" - Users would upload an image to it, right click on the upload image and copy the URL from it's Properties... but the problem with this is that it would appear on the user's Buzzfeed... i am unable to prevent anything from this Workspace from appearing in the Buzzfeed and it isn't user-friendly for users to have to rely on right clicking on the properties of an image to get the URL My idea would be to have a dedicate area for where files and images are stored, where we can access what's already uploaded and maintain them or to be able to upload to it. I can imagine this being called something like File Manager. In here we can generate a Wiki Markup URL which we can copy and paste into our posts. I can also envisage File Manager being available anywhere in the system with a shortcut and a box that popups up in front of Hornbill. Just a thought, Thanks, Samuel
  12. In our case our Hornbill Asset Manager should be our main Asset Database. In our case we mainly want to know about which OS we are using and whether or not it's 32bit or 64bit. Each OS should be on the same version via SCCM (With the exception of Infrastructure who may be using newer versions to test with and so forth) so this field is maybe something that shouldn't be done via Simple Lists but updated directly. This is up to the users themselves. The operating system one was a simple example, however the idea is for this to be extended to all text fields in Asset Manager so users have a choice whether or not to use a pre-defined list or leave it as a free text box.
  13. Hello, Please use the voting buttons above if you like this idea but dont want to post a reply, I find that a lot of users can view a post for an idea that someone has but very few respond. I would like to ability to "Link" certain fields in the Assets to Simple Lists. If undefined the field becomes a text input field (where it's currently one already) If defined then users will only be able to choose the values from the Simple List assosciated with that field Our use case example - We need to define the Operating system and Operating system type and Operating system version a Computer System asset has, and since we have no predefined values to hold that information users are able to put in what they like. I wish to have it look at the Simple LIsts which holds the following values Operating system - Windows 7 - Windows 10 - Windows Server 2004 - Windows Server 2008 - Windows Server 2012 r2 - Android - Windows 8 (Phones) - Windows 10 (Phones) Operating system type - 32 bit - 64 bit - 128 bit (just preparing for the near distant future ) Operating system version (tbc) This of course should be available for every "text input" field available in Asset Manager, and should be restricted per "Asset Type" and not class to give the users flexibility in being able to choose the relevant information they require to be shown. Many thanks, Samuel Wood
  14. +1 - would be great as we using AD Groups and Policies.
  15. Hi @James Ainsworth, Thanks for keeping us updated. Samuel
  16. Hi @James Ainsworth and @Steven Boardman, Perfect! looking out for the next build @James Ainsworth the main thing I as really looking to sort on is the Last Updated Date so I can identify possible templates that are not being used, and remove them. (or is there is a better way to do this...) Many thanks, Samuel
  17. Hello, Can I request the following to be added/amended to the Email Templates area: Is there any chance we can have column sorting added to the Email Templates area? How about being able to search for a template? (without using CTRL+F which is only catered to specific text) Also another feature - could we have some group functionality added to the templates? We have template for specific Applications and services so would be great to be able to group them and filter them. Thanks, Samuel
  18. Hi @James Ainsworth, Ah that makes sense so really just used to help with Activities. Uh.... can I be an interesed party for this idea? This is a great idea! Thank you I really appreciate this. Samuel
  19. @Dan Munns, Unfortunately this has not worked. It appears the Checklist is used to track the % completion of a Task, and not contribute to the Completion Details of the task. Now i'm not sure how to progress with this at all in my case... Tech Support identfify what Applications a Leaver has access to half way through the Manual Leaver process, and since we cannot have a form half way through the leaver process and he Task Checklist doesn't return any Outcome Details I am at a lost at how to automate the creation of tickets / emails based on the Applications the leaver has. Does anyone have any ideas? (remembering that these Applications are identified half way through this process, AFTER the Leaver has been confirmed) Thanks, Samuel
