  1. In our case our Hornbill Asset Manager should be our main Asset Database. In our case we mainly want to know about which OS we are using and whether or not it's 32bit or 64bit. Each OS should be on the same version via SCCM (With the exception of Infrastructure who may be using newer versions to test with and so forth) so this field is maybe something that shouldn't be done via Simple Lists but updated directly. This is up to the users themselves. The operating system one was a simple example, however the idea is for this to be extended to all text fields in Asset Manager so users have a choice whether or not to use a pre-defined list or leave it as a free text box.
  2. Hello, Please use the voting buttons above if you like this idea but dont want to post a reply, I find that a lot of users can view a post for an idea that someone has but very few respond. I would like to ability to "Link" certain fields in the Assets to Simple Lists. If undefined the field becomes a text input field (where it's currently one already) If defined then users will only be able to choose the values from the Simple List assosciated with that field Our use case example - We need to define the Operating system and Operating system type and Operating system version a Computer System asset has, and since we have no predefined values to hold that information users are able to put in what they like. I wish to have it look at the Simple LIsts which holds the following values Operating system - Windows 7 - Windows 10 - Windows Server 2004 - Windows Server 2008 - Windows Server 2012 r2 - Android - Windows 8 (Phones) - Windows 10 (Phones) Operating system type - 32 bit - 64 bit - 128 bit (just preparing for the near distant future ) Operating system version (tbc) This of course should be available for every "text input" field available in Asset Manager, and should be restricted per "Asset Type" and not class to give the users flexibility in being able to choose the relevant information they require to be shown. Many thanks, Samuel Wood
  3. +1 - would be great as we using AD Groups and Policies.
  4. Hi @James Ainsworth, Thanks for keeping us updated. Samuel
  5. Hi @James Ainsworth and @Steven Boardman, Perfect! looking out for the next build @James Ainsworth the main thing I as really looking to sort on is the Last Updated Date so I can identify possible templates that are not being used, and remove them. (or is there is a better way to do this...) Many thanks, Samuel
  6. Hello, Can I request the following to be added/amended to the Email Templates area: Is there any chance we can have column sorting added to the Email Templates area? How about being able to search for a template? (without using CTRL+F which is only catered to specific text) Also another feature - could we have some group functionality added to the templates? We have template for specific Applications and services so would be great to be able to group them and filter them. Thanks, Samuel
  7. Hi @James Ainsworth, Ah that makes sense so really just used to help with Activities. Uh.... can I be an interesed party for this idea? This is a great idea! Thank you I really appreciate this. Samuel
  8. @Dan Munns, Unfortunately this has not worked. It appears the Checklist is used to track the % completion of a Task, and not contribute to the Completion Details of the task. Now i'm not sure how to progress with this at all in my case... Tech Support identfify what Applications a Leaver has access to half way through the Manual Leaver process, and since we cannot have a form half way through the leaver process and he Task Checklist doesn't return any Outcome Details I am at a lost at how to automate the creation of tickets / emails based on the Applications the leaver has. Does anyone have any ideas? (remembering that these Applications are identified half way through this process, AFTER the Leaver has been confirmed) Thanks, Samuel
  9. Hi @Dan Munns, I thought it may have been "Outcome" but I just wanted to check first as the Wiki hadn't provided any info :'( Thank you, Samuel
  10. Hello, I must be going crazy - in the Variable Picker against a branch out of the Decision Node from a Human Task, what Variable am I to use to pick up the list of items checked in the Checklist? I have a parellel process that will eventually create new tickets depending on what has been ticked in the Human Task Checklist. Thanks, Samuel
  11. Thanks @TrevorKillick for your assistance Samuel
  12. Hi @TrevorKillick, I haven't had the opportunity to try it yet but is it at all possible to combine multiple modifiers? Such as: {{.H_description|empty|wiki}} ALSO the Modifiers section on the Wiki contains some Typos I think. For the empty, html and wiki ones there are 3 right curly braces instead of 2. Thanks, Samuel
  13. Hi @TrevorKillick, That's perfect - I think I missed that, but thank you for pointing it out to me. I will be giving this a go Thanks, Samuel
  14. Looking forward to finding out more! Re. @dwalby's post, having a bit of text such as "Hello [Name]" seems to be a nice touch that would make users feel more welcome when they access the Portal... and the fact you mentioned that this is one of the many new features truly makes the "not knowing" about the others all the more thrilling. I will be keeping a closer eye on the forums for any updates . Many Thanks, Samuel
  15. Hi @James Ainsworth, I believe this is server build 2877: I think the issue still persists and here is no mention of the email formatting being improved. Can you confirm? Thanks, Samuel
  16. Hi @Victor This is a great idea, something to look forward to. Are you able to share any more more details on how this works at this moment in time? Thanks, Samuel
  17. Hello, The Primary Asset idea might actually be very useful if it allows us to do certain things via the BPM or against a ticket against the asset (such as updating the records etc.) Maybe there could potentially a feature we there could be "Linked Assets" against the Primary Asset? (We havent got configuration manager installed so not actually sure if this is possible already). This would be great for reporting too. +1 from me Thanks, Samuel
  18. Hi @James Ainsworth, That makes perfect sense - I didnt even think about that - silly me. Thanks for adding me to the list. Samuel
  19. Hi @trevorharris, This is fantastic many thanks for putting this forward as a future change. I will keep an eye out for any progress Many thanks for this, Samuel
  20. Hi @trevorharris, Thanks for getting back in touch. I wondered if it was possible for the system to remember what view mode was last used against a Document and use that the next time it's opened. Though I think we'll still be happy with setting a default view, as a lot of people prefer it to be in a wide view. Many thanks, Samuel
  21. Hello, Some documents are created in Hornbill with Toggle View turned on in mind, so it can be a bit of pain to have to keep turning it on when we view these documents. Can we have a setting to force this on for those documents that were created using it? Thanks, Samuel
  22. Please add me as an interested connection, and my colleague @gingib as well
