Hello @yelyah.nodrog, may I ask if the asset type related to the asset has set both "company" and "site" visible ? If not, can you please make them both visible and try again ? Regards, Armando

@Michael Sharp, if you try enabling the company, can you confirm that the issue is fixed or you still experience the issue? Regards, Armando
-
Hi @Michael Sharp, the properties "company" and "site" depend from each other, so when you select a site the system search for the associated company , if there is one. Because the company is not a visible property, the system does not find it and does not submit the form. In the asset type, if you enable the property "company" under "General Asset Information", it should work. I will open a ticket to fix this issue. In the meantime, can you enable the "company" if this is not a problem for you? Regards, Armando

Hi @Michael Sharp, I can replicate the issue now. I will investigate and get back to you as soon as possible Regards, Armando

Hi @Michael Sharp can you provide a screenshot of the visible/mandatory properties for the asset type you just created ? I just tried to create a new asset type with class Computer System and then a new asset, and everything works fine for me. I'd like to replicate the same conditions and see if I can replicate the issue. Armando

Hello @Michael Sharp, can you tell which class the asset type is ? Can you see any error in your browser console ? Regards, Armando

@cchalmers can you please update to the latest build 919 and try again? Thanks

Hi @cchalmers we could not replicate this issue. Have you updated to the latest version of SM and tried to clear your browser cache ? Regards, Armando

Hi @DC-BEN, yes the asset upload feature is for new assets only, not for update. Unfortunately I cannot see any shorter way to update the asset details one by one. If you have an updated CSV file and if the assets are not currently linked to any entity, you may delete the existing assets and import them again. Regards, Armando

Hi @ljbrown unfortunately there was a problem with the h_date_created field not being populated. This issue has been fixed in the version 2.39, so if the table h_itsm_request_feedback was populated before you updated to the version 2.39, then h_date_created will be empty. I run a test and I can see that h_date_created is correctly set now. If you updated to the version 2.39 or later, can you confirm that h_date_created is now correctly set, please? As far the date in the format 2016-11-14T00:00:00.000Z for a Change Request report, I will double check and get back to you. Regards, Armando

Hi @Mark Simpkins the UI does not provide any functionality to create an asset starting from an existing one. One option would be to use the Upload Asset functionality, which let you import any number of assets from a CSV file. You may find some documentation about this functionality here: https://wiki.hornbill.com/index.php/Upload_Assets_CSV Regards, Armando

The only values the user may add to the selections, are the asset substates (for all the asset types) and the vendor/product/version for the asset type of class "software" Regards, Armando

Hi @flanderp, the Asset Type page only let you specify which properties are visible and which one are mandatory, and its not possible for the user to add new properties and/or new values to the selections. Would you like to be able to choose "Department" from the "Location Type" element ?
