  1. Hi, We have around 160 devices that have been added into the Service Manager asset database automatically via SCCM. We have other information to add to all of these assets that SCCM doesn't populate such as; order number, supplier ID, room, order date, received date, warranty expires. Just wondering if anyone can help advise if there is an easy way to add this information into existing records without going into each asset and manually changing it? I'm guessing the asset upload feature is for new assets only and can't be used to add more information to existing assets? Thanks
  2. Hi All, we want to look at importing our assets into hornbill from our SCCM. We have around 3000 computers in our SCCM and these change all the time as new ones are added and old ones are removed. If the SCCM export script is run nightly or weekly, is it able to remove/archive computers that no longer appear in the SCCM from hornbill and add new ones it finds? Will it update a PC who's configuration has changed since the last import? Thanks, James
  3. The Asset Import does not appear to be completing consistently, so not all assets are being updated from SCCM. The log file just stops: no errors or warnings. Running at the command line the results are inconsistent, sometimes it goes through and completes, others it just stops and returns to the prompt. There's no obvious reason - it doesn't run for a certain amount of time, or stop on a certain asset, or even in a certain section. An example of the output where there's been a failure followed by a success would be: C:\sw_tools\Assets>db_asset_import_w32.exe -file=conf_sccm_assetscomputer.json [DEBUG] ---- XMLMC Database Asset Import Utility V1.2.1 ---- [DEBUG] Flag - Config File conf_sccm_assetscomputer.json [DEBUG] Flag - Zone eur [DEBUG] Flag - Dry Run false [DEBUG] Connecting to Database Server: DC-HVSQL-01\SCCM [DATABASE] Connection Successful [DATABASE] Running database query for Server assets. When it does complete the results are as expected. I've attached the config file in case that's causing a problem. All suggestions gratefully received!
