Performance of search engine for service portal
ArmandoDM replied to Lyonel's topic in Service Manager
@Lyonel have you checked if the app-settings I mentioned before were turned on ? If they were off, can you please turned them on and try searching again, and see if there are still performance issues? Regards Armando -
Performance of search engine for service portal
ArmandoDM replied to Lyonel's topic in Service Manager
Hi @Lyonel the time for reindexing depends on how much data you have in your table. It may take long if you have a big amount of requests. My suggestion would be to reindex in the evening, possibly at the end of the working day, and then try to search the day after ? Regards Armando -

Hi @SJEaton there is no change in the pipeline to increase the number of properties datetime. May I ask how many custom fields, and the type, that you would need ? If you use custom fields in BPM decision nodes and you need more than 5, you may alternatively use answers from Progressive Capture Custom Forms ? Regards Armando

Hi @Gary@ADL, for the request where the closure category is not set, can I ask you to check if the columns h_closure_category_id and h_closure_category are being set in the table h_itsm_requests ? I'm trying to work out if its a UI issue or a database issue. Also, would it be possible for you to provide a request ID this happened in the past week ? Regards Armando
-
@Dan Munns great. Regards Armando

Hi @Dan Munns in the report definition , can you please use LEFT JOIN instead of JOIN on the tables h_cmdb_assets_computer, h_cmdb_assets_computer_peripheral , h_cmdb_assets_basic please? Regards Armando

Hi @Gary@ADL we are currently investigating this issue. Will provide a fix as soon as possible. Regards Armando

Hi @Gary@ADL are you on the latest update of SM ? Ideally I can replicate the issue Thanks Armando
-
@dwalby no worries. Let me know if that works for you. Thanks
-
Hi @dwalby, in your BPM have you tried to add the Entity-> Requests -> Get Request Information -> Owner Details before the decision node ? Then in your decision node you might check if the last name of the owner is set or not? https://wiki.hornbill.com/index.php/Service_Manager_Business_Process_Workflow Regards Armando

Hi @Gary@ADL I am unable to replicate the issue. Can you double check if the closure category you're setting still exists, or maybe it has been updated? Did you try to edit the BPM node where you set the category, and set it again? Can you see any error? Regards Armando
-
Hi @SJEaton, 1. its a typo. custom_n and custom_o are still available 2. yes 3. I will check with the relevant people if there is any change in the pipeline to increase the number of properties datetime 4. at the time we enhanced this feature, 30 custom fields did fulfill customer requirements, so the limit Regards Armando

Hi @DeadMeatGF that's strange. Let me investigate on what might cause this. Armando
-
Thank you @DeadMeatGF as the other user has not the same issue, it would beneficial to understand if its an issue specific to your machine or maybe some setting or other reasons. Please keep me updated on this. Regards Armando
-
@DeadMeatGF can you see any error in the browser console ?
-
@DeadMeatGF are you using a browser/version different from the other user ? Can you tell which one please? Ideally I can replicate your environment and replicate the issue Regards Armando
-
Hi @DeadMeatGF Do you land to the request list page when you first login? I tried this and I cannot replicate the issue. Can you try clearing the browser cache and logout and it again, please? Regards Armando
-
Hi @Dan Munns this is not currently possible; all asset updates are done in the asset page. I will check with the relevant people if there is any change in the backlog to allow for asset updates from outside the asset page. Regards Armando
