@Darren Rose due to unforeseen circumstances the Project Manager update is now going to be held until next week. The use of tags in Project Manager requires a change from our core team which will not happen now until next week. Apologies for any inconvenience. Here is what tagging will look like in a project: Alex

@Darren Rose the update is due any day now. Still waiting on some integration work between Board and Project Manager to be completed. As soon as this is done a new update of Project Manager will be released which also contains a big new feature around categorisation (Project Tagging) :-) Alex

@TSheward_SGW yes, absolutely.

@Nikolaj thanks for your post. With regard to having a business process running against a project - at the start (launch of the app) we definitely wanted to have this ability. It has always been in our plans to expand the use of the business process engine inside Project Manager and to offer more automated options. Your request falls inside this functionality. I completely agree that it would be beneficial for only the PM to be able to move the Business Process forward. We designed it to be open at the start as it is always easier to lock it down than to expand its use later on. An area that we have been looking at for some time is the introduction of project specific settings. I would see this being one of those settings where the pm controls whether or not just anyone can continue the business process on a per project basis. Hopefully we will start to see this functionality make its way into the app in the not too distant future. Alex

@Nikolaj not at this time but it is something that we would like to add for sure as it's a great feature. Alex

@Lyonel @Darren Rose our automated testing has picked up an issue with the new Project Manager build that requires a new build of Board Manager before the next Project Manager update can be released. I will post here with more information in due course but it looks highly likely now that the latest Project Manager update will not happen this week. Alex

@gwynne in another of our applications (Hornbill Project Manager) I believe we have the same concept that you are looking for. In the Hornbill Admin Tool you design your project template, and as you create a new project through progressive capture, if you select a template, when the relevant forms appear, if you have populated them in the template, they will show - but you have the chance to amend the data. Hope this makes sense and this is the sort of thing you are looking for? In terms of Service Manager, if we were to go down the route of creating similar templates, what sort of information would you want to capture in a request template? Alex

@Darren Rose @Lyonel I'm pleased to say, the ability to add a project to a board will be available in the next Project Manager update, due out later on this week. A single project can be added to multiple boards. As a project moves through it's lifecycle, the relevant project cards will be updated accordingly. Alex

@Nikolaj thanks for your suggestion, I can definitely see the value in this. I'll feed back your comments to our development and product teams. Alex

@Paul Alexander our development team have found and fixed the issue. The fix will be included in the next Project Manager update which is due very soon... Alex

@Paul Alexander thanks for your post. Our development team are currently looking into this. Alex

@Nikolaj you should see the boards tab in a project automatically if you have a Board Manager role? Alex
-
@Darren Rose great suggestion. I'll pass this on to our development and product teams. Alex

@Nikolaj it makes sense that if you have the Holiday Manager app installed then you'd want to pull in the holiday data from there (to avoid re entering it in multiple places) but if you don't have the app, I agree you'd need a way to input this in Project Manager. As the feature gets closer to release, I will be able to provide you with more details. Alex

@Nikolaj sure, will do. There is no print functionality as such (although you could print the screen etc). You do have the ability to snapshot gantt chart views however. This functionality can be found in the gantt chart full screen views. Alex

@Nikolaj thanks for your post. We do already have something in the works for this which includes a full integration to another Hornbill app: Hornbill Holiday Manager. In the attached screenshot, if you have Holiday Manager installed, you get a small calendar icon next to each stakeholder. When you click it, it opens up a popup window with a calendar to show you this user's availability (probably a bad example as this user has no booked holiday!). At this time, I can't say when either the new app or the Project Manager functionality will be available, but as you can see it's something that we are looking to add to the product in the future. @Darren Rose seems more than reasonable. I'll ask out project management dev team to take a look. Alex

@TSheward_SGW currently there is no assignment logic for project tasks. This will be added in the next Project Manager update. Apologies for any confusion here. Alex

@Nikolaj thanks for your feedback. I will pass this on to our development and product teams. Alex

Hi @Patrick Walker thanks for your post. Integration with Timesheet Manager is still a priority. I don't have any news at this time but will post back here when we have an announcement to make. Alex

@Nikolaj I believe this is linked to the same problem where completing tasks/activities via the core view does not invoke the correct behaviour in Project Manager (like the Project Manager notification problem). Hopefully this bug will be solved soon by our development team. Alex

@Darren Rose this requirement is still towards the top of the development queue. I will pass on your feedback. Alex
