  1. @Darren Rose glad to hear it's working but a little concerned as nothing has changed! If this does happen again, please let me know so we can investigate. Alex
  2. @Darren Rose just to confirm, is this happening for all projects or just selected ones? Alex
  3. @Aaron Summers apologies for the late reply. You can open multiple tabs on the same browser and that will count as one session. If you had both firefox and chrome accessing Hornbill at the same time, that would be 2 different sessions. In our experience, what we've found is because many analysts open a new tab per request, they can sometimes forget to close down every single tab at the end of the day, hence the reason the session then turns to inactive (after the idle timeout period is reached). Alex
  4. @Darren Rose our development team is currently looking at this issue. I'll post another update soon. Alex
  5. Hi @Gemma Morrison, I think the issue here might be additional tabs/sessions left open by the analyst when they 'log out' of Hornbill. If you open up the Admin Tool and check the active sessions, you'll be able to see if an analyst is still logged in, even if they think they have logged out. This would explain why they are showing as inactive and not offline because once an idle session hits the instance limit (definable in the settings), that session will be set to inactive. Alex
  6. @Patrick Walker thanks for your post. You'll be pleased to know that we have big plans around time recording in Hornbill in general. Hopefully you'll start to see some of this functionality introduced in Project Manager very soon. We also have the concept of 'in-app' reporting which is currently in active development. This will work very similarly to how it does in Service Manager. More information can be found in this thread: Alex
  7. @Nikolaj unfortunately nothing like this is possible at the moment. It would take a fair amount of development and integration between the 2 apps for this to happen. I will feed this back to our product team all the same. Alex
  8. @Darren Rose thanks for your post. I can certainly see the value here. I'll feed this back to our development and product teams. Alex
  9. @Darren Rose thanks for your post. I'll feed this back to our development and product teams. Alex
  10. @Nikolaj thanks for your post. I will feed this back to our product team. Alex
  11. @Darren Rose great to hear you're making use of the new tags! Tags are held in the db table h_tags. Note that this table holds all tags for your Hornbill instance so your 'WHERE' clause should be "h_tag_group = 'urn:tagGroup:projects'". Links between tags and projects are then held in the db table h_tag_links. In this table you'll see the id of the tag, the tag group and the project that the tag is related to. Alex
  12. Thanks for this @TSheward_SGW. I'll feed this back to our development and product teams. I can certainly see the business value to be gained from what you are trying to achieve. Alex
  13. @TSheward_SGW yes that's working as designed. Currently project tasks can only be added to boards that are specific to that project. Can I ask what your business case would be for including project tasks on a board outside of a project? (there is no reason why we can't expand the functionality here if it what our users want) Alex
  14. @Darren Rose @Lyonel @TSheward_SGW The latest Project Manager update is now available in the Hornbill App Store. Alex
  15. @Nikolaj thanks for your post. Project tasks hold their data in a combination of the table h_sys_tasks and their own table. You will need to add a join to your query to see this information. In-app reporting is currently a feature that is being worked on for Project Manager. This will provide you with the information that you require. I can't say when it will be ready but I can tell you that we are actively working on it. Similarly for Project Progress, this is something new that we have been working on and will be released in the coming months when it is ready for use. At the moment I can tell you it has no value and is not worth reporting on. Alex
  16. @Darren Rose due to unforeseen circumstances the Project Manager update is now going to be held until next week. The use of tags in Project Manager requires a change from our core team which will not happen now until next week. Apologies for any inconvenience. Here is what tagging will look like in a project: Alex
  17. @Darren Rose the update is due any day now. Still waiting on some integration work between Board and Project Manager to be completed. As soon as this is done a new update of Project Manager will be released which also contains a big new feature around categorisation (Project Tagging) :-) Alex
  18. @Nikolaj thanks for your post. With regard to having a business process running against a project - at the start (launch of the app) we definitely wanted to have this ability. It has always been in our plans to expand the use of the business process engine inside Project Manager and to offer more automated options. Your request falls inside this functionality. I completely agree that it would be beneficial for only the PM to be able to move the Business Process forward. We designed it to be open at the start as it is always easier to lock it down than to expand its use later on. An area that we have been looking at for some time is the introduction of project specific settings. I would see this being one of those settings where the pm controls whether or not just anyone can continue the business process on a per project basis. Hopefully we will start to see this functionality make its way into the app in the not too distant future. Alex
  19. @Nikolaj not at this time but it is something that we would like to add for sure as it's a great feature. Alex
  20. @Lyonel @Darren Rose our automated testing has picked up an issue with the new Project Manager build that requires a new build of Board Manager before the next Project Manager update can be released. I will post here with more information in due course but it looks highly likely now that the latest Project Manager update will not happen this week. Alex
  21. @gwynne in another of our applications (Hornbill Project Manager) I believe we have the same concept that you are looking for. In the Hornbill Admin Tool you design your project template, and as you create a new project through progressive capture, if you select a template, when the relevant forms appear, if you have populated them in the template, they will show - but you have the chance to amend the data. Hope this makes sense and this is the sort of thing you are looking for? In terms of Service Manager, if we were to go down the route of creating similar templates, what sort of information would you want to capture in a request template? Alex
  22. @Darren Rose @Lyonel I'm pleased to say, the ability to add a project to a board will be available in the next Project Manager update, due out later on this week. A single project can be added to multiple boards. As a project moves through it's lifecycle, the relevant project cards will be updated accordingly. Alex
  23. @Nikolaj thanks for your suggestion, I can definitely see the value in this. I'll feed back your comments to our development and product teams. Alex
  24. @Paul Alexander our development team have found and fixed the issue. The fix will be included in the next Project Manager update which is due very soon... Alex
