File Attachment - ability to description to standard node

Recommended Posts

It would be useful to have the ability to add a custom description to the standard Progressive Capture node, the same way you can with custom form fields.

For use, this would be to add guidance on what to attach and as well as advising the removal of any personal information , i.e. GDPR.

Cheers

In the latest Service Manager update it is now possible to include custom title and message on the default Add Attachments forms.  This will allow you to customise the message where ever this standard form is used in your progressive capture flows

@HHH hopefully in the latest Service Manager build you will now be able to add in guidance directly on the add attachment progressive capture form

@Martyn Houghton in regards to add attachment on the request view on the portals you do have access to the translations strings to tweak the message which is presented:

Service Portal: guest.com.hornbill.servicemanager.portals.servicePortal.home.requestView.details.attachment.orDragAndDrop

Customer Portal: guest.com.hornbill.servicemanager.portals.portal.home.requestView.details.attachment.orDragAndDrop

@Steven Boardman

Just a follow up to say we have implemented this in the progressive captures and it works well.

The workaround of using the translation strings for the portal gets us around the problem for the time being but without formatting or line feeds even, the output is less than ideal. Perhaps there can be some enhancement to provide a separate prompt or header which support some form of formatting in the future.
