  1. @Lyonel thanks for your post. I can definitely see the value here. I'll feed this back to our dev team. Alex
  2. This has been fixed and is available in the next Project Manager update.
  3. This has been fixed and is available in the next Project Manager update.
  4. Hi @Lyonel thanks for your post. I'll pass this on to our dev team to investigate and consider. Alex
  5. @Lyonel thanks for your post. This looks like a similar issue to what we had with the budget field as reported here: I'll pass it onto our dev team to take a look.
  6. I should add that when the boards feature does become enabled by default, it will use the new Hornbill Board Manager app which is currently in the later stages of development :-)
  7. @Lyonel thanks for you post. For the initial release, we wanted the ability to be able to link documents that are already in your document management library to a project. As we go forward, we should see some big changes in this area as you're right, it's not convenient to upload in one place and then have to come back somewhere else to link. Alex
  8. @Lyonel thanks for you post. Yes, the boards functionality is not available and will remain hidden behind an application flag for a while yet. Alex
  9. @Lyonel yes I'll raise this with our dev team, thanks.
  10. @Lyonel thanks for your post. I'll raise this with our development team. Alex
  11. @Lyonel thanks for your post. As you've pointed out, currently there is no validation on date selection in terms of project dates and milestones/tasks. This is something that we are aware of and will be adding to the project soon. Alex
  12. @Lyonel thanks for your post. Yes that's one thing that will definitely happen in project business processes. You'll have the ability to update milestone progress through an automated action. Alex
  13. @LyonelI don't disagree. I'll forward this to our dev team.
  14. @Lyonel That's strange, have you tried logging out and in again or refreshing the page since you changed the progressive capture and made it active?
  15. @Lyonel thanks for your post. I'll feed this back to our dev team. I do believe the plan is to move the Hornbill platform over to Bootstrap 4 at some stage but I couldn't tell you when that is. I do know it's been discussed internally though. Alex
  16. @Lyonel thanks for your post. Currently it's not possible to 'delete' a project. It's only possible to cancel them which is in effect a 'soft delete'. For sure, this is a feature that we could add and I will be sure to pass it to our dev team. Alex
  17. @Lyonel thanks very much for your post. We really appreciate you taking the time to provide this fantastic feedback :-) We have many ideas for the Project Manager app and hope to start adding more and more features into the product very soon as we look to come out of the beta stage that the app is currently in. Your feedback is invaluable and I would encourage you to keep posting it here. Thanks again, Alex
  18. @Darren Rose my apologies, I forgot to answer the first part of your post! A risk owner/assignee is definitely something that we could add. I'll forward this to our development team. @Lyonel Welcome, and thanks for downloading the Hornbill Project Manager app :-) Alex
  19. Thanks again for your post @Darren Rose. When we first started developing Project Manager we had the view that there would be just a single PM per project. That soon evolved when we encountered numerous scenarios where you may have more than one PM on any one project. The project manager id column shouldn't be in the table anymore as it's not used for anything so I will ask our development team to remove that for future builds. Regarding limiting the number of PM's on a project, maybe this is something that would work well with the Project Type? Alex
  20. No problem. It's the same concept really in Service Manager when you are building your business processes. Many of our customers will assign a pre determined task to a role which in turn is then granted to a group of users, allowing any of them to complete it. You will see some similar logic implemented in Project Manager in the not too distant future. Alex
  21. Thanks again for your post @Darren Rose. This was something that came up in development. Unfortunately due to the way that the platform tasks work, they are always required to have an assignee. This is why the task is assigned to you if you leave it as blank when you create it. I know we are due to revisit this area again for a host of other features so I will add this point to that discussion. Alex
  22. Currently it's only possible to see projects that you are a stakeholder in. This is maybe something that we could add to the 'Project Administrator Role' though and provide a view for all projects within the app? The issue here really is security. I'm certain that some users of project manager will want all projects to be openly viewed while others will prefer a very granular level of access. Not to constantly bring the functionality back to project templates but I'm guessing that you could achieve what you want here by creating every project from a template that has the same stakeholders related to it. e.g. yourself as a Project Overviewer Alex
  23. Thanks again for your post @Darren Rose That's a great suggestion. I'll forward this to our development team. Alex
  24. I agree, nice idea. I'll feed this back to the dev team.
  25. @Darren Rose Thanks for your post. I agree this is definitely something that would add great value (pardon the pun). I remember during the development of the costs tab that this was discussed but there were concerns around calculation totals if individual costs were in different currencies. I will ask our development team to see what they can do and are planning for this area. Regarding the budget field, I presume you mean adding a budget when entering in the project name and description? There is a separate budget form in progressive capture that you can use when first creating a project as a workaround for now if that's something that works for you? Also, its worth mentioning that the budget field is one of those that will be part of a project template, so look for that when we roll out the project template functionality. Alex
