  1. Hi @James Ainsworth absolutely! I currently use a few custom buttons making api calls to do these updates as there isn't actually a node to update asset yet (or I am really missing something?) but this node helps me query something such as a state for an asset and make a button flip that state rather than just one use which is very useful, I would definitely like to see more of these nodes that are dedicated to assets in the near future

  2. I've not played with this yet but the same as you was excited to read about it, if it is only working on Asset ID then I agree this is a shame considering the 'Get linked Assets' does not return the ID for us to use in our processes, I feel it may be useful in auto tasks definitely but a massive oversight, we need something that either helps us to get the ID first or a different way of searching assets

  3. Hi,

is there a setting somewhere where I can make setting an organisation mandatory for contacts? I have given our service desk access to create the contacts but despite writing guidance they are missing the organisation and wondering why they can't log a request for them, I feel at this point the easiest solution is for the org to be mandatory

  4. I am aware in the wiki it points to a license for power apps that is required, can someone please confirm for me how many are required (I would imagine just the one) and if this definitely does involve a cost for them or if there are alternative ways?

  5. Hi,

by the time I click send this will probably have a new name.. but could someone please point me in the right direction for asset import in from intune, I have scrolled and scrolled the forums but anything related seems to be old and no longer of use.

We have managed to get all of our MCM imports running to a standard we wanted now and are now using hornbill entirely for our asset management on these devices, What we would like to move onto next is all of our mobile devices being automatically synced from intune

  6. @Steve Giller

This also happens when using the update assets node 'owned by' in hornbill its self so I don't think this is strictly just the scripts with this issue,

    see the below,

    from node update image.png.251e2751703bb34da748493b4c704c25.png

from asset field its self update

the node is like the below with the owned by being the users ID value

  7. Hi Steve, This is something I have looked at however we have multiple users that may log on to run these when there are issues pending availability of engineers, thus making the way this encrypts a key very hard for us to work with, we also do not create generic accounts on servers which is why we have not updated

  8. Hi, hopefully I can explain this as well as it is in my mind :D

We have an issue with the way the users have resolved in the used by or owned by fields, We use a nightly script to update the used by, and owned by we uploaded a csv using the same asset import tool which will be updated manually when we allocate assets. when doing it manually it does resolve correctly. The correct way is the bottom one

For some reason they display differently as pictured below, however there is no difference in these for the scripts? it affects when using the filter within asset management to return devices either used by or owned by the user

  9. I have recently downloaded the latest version to run csv uploads as  a one off, however with is asking for instance name now I can not get passed this as it is stating our instance is invalid, the case is all correct and spelling, is their a format I am missing?

  10. IF big IF but if you could get the ID of the request maybe in a task, you could just replace the request ID from 'Auto to the actual ID you want, automatically, not so easily especially if you have multiple linked requests

I do a similar thing in our MI's except rather than analysts manually linking I make an api call to link the request from a field in a task, that way analysts don't feel like they are doing the same thing twice
