  1. @Steve Giller Makes sense that I can only view it's existence due to audit trail then, So we don't soft delete at all for Assets? Could you possibly provide a list of what is soft deleted compared to what is hard deleted? as I was lead to believe that everything was soft deleted or 'archived' such as users etc and we were to use the clean utility to fully delete entities

  2. The reason this is important is we have to hold evidence of our assets for 6 years at end of life, and we are trying to make a final decision on what the best process would be, in terms of storage, archiving etc as the assets do not seem to have an official 'archive' or any way of actually hiding them once they are considered end of life, one route discussed was to export them and store elsewhere but this seems to go against our goal of one place for all

  3. at least in my mind,

If I was to do a query where device owner = {user id} I would expect all devices to be returned, it feels like this node when setting used by false, is adding an 'And' and saying where device owner = {user id} and used by is not equal to {user id} The problem is we use owned by as our manual tracking of assets and used by is automated via the import and update scripts so when querying for leaver devices I only want to see the devices owned by the user and not used by for this reason

  4. Interesting after the update this morning I can not repeat the issue. Essentially you could edit the State in the summary view, but not commit the save and then the substate would show the new substates based on the new State that hasn't been commited yet, you could then change the substate to a different states child states and commit the save without ever committing the State change leaving it on the wrong value.

Hopefully that makes sense? but seems like it has been fixed now

  5. I'm not sure if this is a concern or not but in my asset update tool I've been doing some testing and I thought the issue was in my app (in most probably is an issue either way) but I noticed I can populate a substate with the wrong parent state.

I looked on Hornbill directly and I can actually do it within the software also see images below, I can achieve this in the app by editing the 'State' not submitting it and then editing the substate which shows me the new values, I've looked at the entity viewer and it does say it's hard coded but was curious if this was an issue or an accidental feature?

  6. I use this in my leaver process and use the 'user ID' option - as the customer is often the manager - to link the leavers owned by assets, unfortunately it doesn't seem to do what it says and returns the used by assets where the user is also not the owner. I have 5 Assets in my name currently and for 4 of them I am the used by and owned by user, when I run this it only returns the 1 assets I am not the owner of?

  7. Morning, I have an issue since the last update and it's only happened for random requests and not all but in my first node I have a suspend and wait for 1 min (This is for when this request type is logged via request or chatbot to give the custom fields chance to be populated) but sometimes what happens is it will suspend and wait but never expire and just sit suspended until I do an update of some kind such as assign to a team, then the 1 minute starts and then it proceeds

  8. Ahhh. How would you suggest a 'template' format within intelligent captures? in Support works when our users would submit regular change requests they could define there own custom templates for this, I don't see how a user would be able to do this within an intelligent capture?

even if it was a service offered separately where they requested one to be made, How might I go about that for a per user basis?

  9. Before I go messing about on something that may already be done, has anybody tried only adding the email body to a request and removing the signatures etc?

Reason I am asking is with our MI's we use email quite a lot and they update the request and it ends up causing 'noise' and we would rather just see the latest message in the email?

  10. Hi @Steve G I have downloaded that and opened within VS code and unable to see any files other than the read me, I have also looked in file explorer hidden items are on etc and still unable to see them. I will try on a personal device at a later time and see if its to do with policies on my device however I have downloaded other repos from github and when opening in vs code have been able to view all files
