Afternoon Hope you are all safe and well. Please would it be possible to advise if the below is, or will be possible within Hornbill Project Manager? We are currently looking into the forward planning of our projects and availability of resources and would ideally like to be able to see an overview of all projects for possibly a year or two ahead. Our managers would also like to see this in a more graphical view in order to determine where any gaps may be, if another project were to be requested. Or if resourcing was showing at full capacity they would be able to either decline the project or remove delay another project to make way for the new project. Managers would also like to see each milestone, a milestone may have a completion time of 4 weeks, however the work required will only take 5 days to complete so a resource would only be required for 5 days, not the full 20 days. Afternoon Hope you are all safe and well. I was just wondering if there is the capability within Project Manager to bulk upload via an Excel Spreadsheet please? For example, if we have a list of projects that are given a priority during a meeting, are we then able to upload that spreadsheet in order to change the priority on all of the projects, rather than having to change these individually? Hi Alex It is not an external reference field we are requiring. In service Manager if an incident is raised a unique reference is automatically given to the incident and the customer is then able to call our service desk or relevant team and quote the reference who will then be able to enter the reference and pull up the incident. Are we able to have it so that if someone creates a project it is given a unique reference that anyone is able to enter into Hornbill to see the details? Apologies if I am mis-understandingThank you. Thank you Alex. For us we have a number of complex projects that will involve a large number of tasks, however not all of these tasks will be completed internally, it may be that we need Dell for example to come in and do something to a server. By having a facility whereby the task can be sent to an external source/third party we would not have to create the task AND then separately email or contact the third party to advise of the work that is required with the time frames reducing duplication of work. Thank you for the above information, however is it possible to automatically generate the reference as it does in Service Manager for incidents and service requests please in order that people will be able to enter the reference within the search facility? Although there is an audit tab we have found it to be very minimal information and does not give a quick overview of the work that was completed, only that a milestone was updated or a task added so the timeline facility would be quite helpful. Please would it be possible to advise if there are any plans to add a timeline to Project Manager similar to the one in Service Manager in order to show recent activity on the project instead of someone having to go into a project and sort through the tasks etc to find out recent activity? Morning Hope you are all safe and well. Myself and other project managers are trying to sort our task names but they do not appear to be going into alphabetical order. We have tried adding numbers to the start of the tasks as well and it is not grouping the numbers together either. Please would it be possible to advise if this is a known bug? Thank you.
