  1. Nighteye is another (https://nighteye.app/). I found that DarkReader caused issues with a few sites (including Hornbill, browser developer console will show you any issues. It even blocked a couple of websites from allowing me to log in) so I (sadly) had to replace it. Nighteye says there is a paid version and the 'free trial' expires after so long, but here I am using it for 6 months and no loss of functionality due to lack of payment. It also is a lot nicer to the BPM GUI than DarkReader (totally dark background makes reading things a nightmare, especially with the grid enabled, Nighteye just changes the colour temp of the white to make it easier on the eye.)
  2. @Anakin there are no BPMs there. Even if I generate the name randomly it fails.
  3. Hi all, I am currently unable to create a runbook. I just get the following error, no matter the name I give it: Thanks, Dan
  4. To be fair I saw that the SIS app had added a firewall rule and didnt check what it was. Just assumed it was for client comms. My bad for not checking I guess
  5. @Gerry yeah its sorted now. The joys of firewalls I guess.
  6. @Graham the server could get out to the clients, the issue was the clients couldnt get back to the server so we added an inbound TCP rule to the server and it now works. Thanks Dan
  7. @Gerry both the debug log and console tab are blank. SIS server is up and connectable.
  8. Hi, Can we have the machines in inventory able to be added via AD even if they are offline? When adding machines from my test OUs is tell me how many are in there (correct), fails a few DNS lookups, fails ping on others and then imports the rest. Anything which is not on the network fails to upload anything into inventory. As we would be likely to do discovery scans once of maybe twice a day at the most, being able to add the machines and then pick up the remaining details when they are next online would be hugely useful.
  9. Hi, I have created a package to install Fiddler to one of our machines. Simple .exe file with a /S switch for silent install. However everytime I try and run the package and actually install the software I get the below error (2nd line): It also did this with another installer with no switches at all. Help please.
  10. Hi, I know we can skip un-used stages in the BPM and it sets them hidden, I however would like to go one step further and add a node which you can set the visible stages manually. I am combining a number of our IT Change Control processes into a single form and BPM but I dont want to have a lot of un-used stages shown until the very end. If the user selects Normal Change in the PC it would be useful to use a node to only show the Normal Change stages right at the very beginning. We have a process for emergency/normal/standard changes (same stages) but also for scripts/server decommissioning/firewall changes/server builds/logging changes with 3rd parties Although they all fall into the emergency/normal/standard change types the actual work behind each type is vastly different so being able to show/hide stages in this way would greatly help.
  11. Hi, I have a request which I am unable to assign to anyone. The BPM is sat on a suspend-wait request owner node but if I assign it there is no timeline update and after 5 minutes or so the team assignment reverts back to the original team and no owner. I have tried restarting the BPM with no success and looking in the database the team/owner is never updated even though it shows on the actual request (all be it for 5 minutes) Any ideas?
  12. Hi all (again), I am unable to upload an .exe file to use in a package. I just get the 'sync' circle for a few minutes then the error message: Error .error I have checked this settings: security.fileUploadRestriction.entity.fileAttachments.types security.fileUploadRestriction.webdav.types security.fileUploadRestriction.mail.fileAttachments.types and removed the .exe extension from them all (just to be sure) with no change in behavior. Any idea what I am missing? The file is for the Vivaldi web browser and installs fine manually.
  13. I am going to have a look after lunch. Added *.hornbill.com to our corporate firewall so will see if that works. If not I will add it to the local firewall as well (though that shouldnt be blocking anything). Dont you just love firewalls.....
  14. @Steve G setting forced DCOM has added one of the missing machines. I will have to look a little deeper into the missing machine. I can ping it from the server, can get WMI info via Powershell and it has a complete DNS record. Probably something on our end.
  15. @Graham @Gerry Yeah I did an ADSI discovery scan on one OU to add some test machines. Strangely this found the 9 machines and pinged 7 of them successfully. Managed to get DNS lookups for 5 and imported them into the Inventory but i can only see 3. Running the scan again show the 2 missing ones as being added again but they still dont show up. Also as a QoL change, can we have a view which shows both managed and unmanaged assets in the same list. With a column to show the managed state of the device.
  16. Hi all, I am getting this error on an adhoc LDAP discovery job: 09:40:40 Process Error: 1 - Unable to load LDAP attribute mappings: D:\dev\build\esp\EspServer\Instance\__TargetFolder\idata\instance_conf_template\conf\LdapAttributesMapping.xml Process Error: 1 - Unable to load LDAP attribute mappings: D:\dev\build\esp\EspServer\Instance\__TargetFolder\idata\instance_conf_template\conf\LdapAttributesMapping.xml Looks like a remote server issue rather than anything local. Any ideas/help? @Gerry I get the feeling you are going to be adding me to your mute list before too long :)
  17. Yeah the pairing process is super simple to be fair. I just need to look into which of the firewalls is blocking the traffic tomorrow. And I need to work out the discovery tool next. Had a couple of failed attempts today but I know at least some where because the SIS was down.
  18. @Gerry yeah, saves on human error (mostly, there is always one or two who somehow manage to get through) Automate everything! Though the other stages look a little weak in comparison. One is literally 4 nodes lol
  19. @Gerry nothing is being ruled out by me. I have a few cards up my sleeve for showing ROI (within reason lol). I must have missed that part of the presentation (I was doing other things whilst/listening I am afraid). I get the feeling that your commercials will end up like this: where as customers will be more like this: I don't envy the task.
  20. I think that would count us out then. Last time I got a quote for us to move to Enterprise it almost (if not actually) doubled our subscription and I got a flat 'No' from the bosses. Hopefully you get come up with a model for both but if not then sadly I think we will have to give it a miss.
