MichaelB
Hi, We have implemented an Intelligent Capture form that uses a Date Picker field, which is showing up as US style date. Despite the fact that I have UK format selected in my Windows settings and Chrome being set to UK language, it is showing as MM/DD/YYYY. Is there any way to set this correctly in the form? Field info below.
David Hall
Hi @MichaelB The dates should be formatted according to the logged on users regional settings within the profile settings as per screenshot so perhaps worth checking that first. Hope that helps, Kind Regards, Dave
MichaelB
Hi @David Hall I have UK settings on my Hornbill profile as per below. But does this effect that? As we have users in the business who access the Service Portal without a Hornbill licence
MichaelB
I have also checked the Advanced System Settings and looks like it reflects the same
James Ainsworth
Hi @MichaelB Yes, the date/time formats on user profiles do determine the display of the date/time format on the Intelligent Capture forms. Basic Users (users without subscription) still have date/time formats set against their accounts. If you are using the Customer Portal for Contacts (external customers), you need to configure the format for the portal which can be found under Platform Configuration->Customer Portal Let us know if this helps and if you have any more questions. MichaelB
Hi @James Ainsworth As previously said, this was already set to UK settings, which made no difference. I have now tried setting the following to no avail. Still showing as US date on the form. P.S. I should clarify that I am using the Service Portal
Adrian Simpkins
Apologies it appears I started another post about the same issue - original post below. I have updated the date format settings as above and will check again (we only had one of these set to UK, the rest were US) - thanks
Adrian Simpkins
Hi All, just a quick update after testing this date change - it appears to have resolved the date problem we were having Many thanks
MichaelB
I'm gonna take a stab in the dark here and guess that @Adrian Simpkins you are using the new Customer Portal over the old Service Portal, which I believe isn't supported any more. Is that right?

Victor
@MichaelB just an FYI that we have recently identified the cause for the issue with the incorrect date format in progressive capture when using the (old) services portal or customer portal. A fix for this issue will be deployed soon (TM).
Victor
The fix I mentioned above has been deployed.
samwoo
Is there a way to prevent users from changing their default date format? Or at least stop the system from outputting dates and datetimes based on user's regional settings and have a global one instead. This would be for users with "Basic" and "User" account types. I changed all the default date formats near about a month or so ago, and some people have changed them back to their preference causing confusion on tickets that have been logged.
