assets Exporting Asset Data

Is there a way of exporting the linked requests of an asset into an Excel type document?

This would be great for us, or maybe even a link through to a view of that asset. I cannot find an asset 'condition' when creating views so I guess that bit isn't joined up but it would be great additional functionality.

Thanks for your post.  We have a number of planned changes to provide similar options on the Asset List as you may see on the Request List.  I believe that the export to CSV may be the starting point.  I'll add you to the change.

@Jeremy in the meantime as a workaround you should be able to do this in the reports in the admin console.

Attached is a basic report which prompts for the asset name and then returns all linked requests - which you can export to CSV and or PDFrequests-by-asset.report.txt

I know that this is not part of your original request, but it was mentioned above that we were working on an Asset Export.  Not sure if this offers you any help with your exporting but I thought I'd mention that it is now available as of Service Manager build 1480.
