Lauren
Currently, you can switch on the editing of posts - updates, resolution etc for everyone. Is there a way to only allow certain members of staff (maybe belonging to a specific role or group) to edit posts? Thanks Lauren
Victor
@Lauren - a user can edit their own post in a timeline, provided that the post has not been liked or commented on. This is not governed by roles and rights. It also means user A cannot edit posts made by user B.
Lauren
Hi @Victor Thanks for getting back to me. I can edit any posts, even those not posted by me - is this because I have a certain role? What we're after is the ability to lock down editing of posts to certain individuals. This means that users won't be able to amend their own posts - only those who have permission to make changes to posts. Thanks Lauren

I wasn't aware of this...perhaps this is due to admin rights...not sure... I have asked for clarification internally... but perhaps @Steven Boardman knows more about this? Steven Boardman
@Victor i believe if a user has the Super User role, this will allow them to edit posts by other users. Aside from the ability to edit another users post, the other rules apply: * You can define in Service Manager which post type you will allow to be editable - i.e update, resolution etc * You can only edit posts which have not been liked or commented upon So a Super User would not be able to edit a post if it was liked, commented upon or if it was of type resolution and this type was not in the allowed list from here: An example of a post edited by another user below.
