We have used Translations to change the labels to something more meaningful for us and also configured a number of sub-states under each.
We never delete an asset as it shows the last recorded info plus also we can add WEEE code etc. We just move it to Archived (translated to Retired for us). As you say it doesn't actually Archive them in any sense.
With regard to Storage - I have no idea.

I am fairly sure I have asked this before and been told it is not possible. But I can't find the Topic.
It will be interesting to see if this is still the case. -
Yep - that's looking much better.
Thanks.

I am an Admin (using the system provided role) and can see the Design button on the Supplier screen:
However in Contracts I don't see the button. I used to have it because I added in some Custom Fields a while ago!

Yep - I can see that. Thanks

Yes that did the job so thank you. However 2 points:
1. The Help guide says this
So no guidance that Name is required. Can this be updated please.
2. When I validated it looked like it had done nothing. After a few minutes I noted that refreshing the page updated the screen to Validated. The same with the import. Surely they should force an refresh of the screen?

I need to update the Budget Owner field for a large number of Contracts. The old owner has left.
I have found the Import Supplier Contracts screen and downloaded the Template file. I have then added a unique Contract ID in the supplierContractId field and the new Budget Owner (active User ID) into the budgetOwner field. Finally saved it with new name.
When I then try to upload the csv file there is nothing. No message and no Staging Records created.
So what am I doing wrong?

We have quite a long multi-layered list so this would really help users.

Further to my previous Enhancement Request:
I saw that Supplier Manager 268 in mid May made some really useful improvements - thank you.
However I have noted that the linked asset listing under Supplier Contract is still in some random order. There is a pop-out and search option for this but could we please have this in an alphabetical order as well.

@Steven Boardman hi there - is there a chance for some input here as mentioned above please?

Same for us so we are updating all our links to go direct. Probably about time we did it!

Hi @Frank Reay please add +1 here if you think its the same request
Done. I would have thought that some of this is easy to add to the Report Listing screen as extra columns.

See very similar Enhancement Request just raised which also explains some of the issues that I suffer from without this easy-to-see management overview visibility:

A year or so ago you improved the Assets Listing window in the Supplier screen. It has an eyeball which gives a pop-out window and search function which makes it much easier to search for assets assigned to a Supplier when there a large number of them.
However this list is in some strange sorted order (it actually looks random!). Can this be sorted alphabetically by the Asset Name? Our naming format often puts these in groups and it is much easier to find and view them in that way.
Similarly on the Contracts screen the list of Assets available to be assigned to that Contract (which is basically the list above for the Supplier of the Contract) is sorted in the same 'random' and unhelpful way. We have some Suppliers with over 100 assigned assets. In this screen there is no pop-out or search function. That would help but just having them sorted by Name would be an enormous benefit.

We have a large number of reports in our system. Some were just written as one-off's and others are scheduled with a variety of different recipients via email.
The problem we have is that the Overview screen for all Reports does not show those which are currently scheduled. This makes it difficult to manage. Could we have an extra column which shows whether a report is running on an active Schedule. I don't necessarily need to see when it is next due to run (although that probably would be useful). Also I happened to recently look at a scheduled monthly report and noticed on the Schedule tab it said Failed (in red) rather than Running (in green) - the recipient hadn't noticed that they had not received the mail a couple of weeks before. I don't quite know what happened (maybe caused by the recent issue with Report Scheduling?) so I set the schedule running again with next month's date (I will check on it next month). The point is that I can't see where I would have spotted this Failure apart from looking at the report itself (which fortunately I had). Can this also be highlighted on the Overview screen?

That's very helpful - thanks. You have opened my eyes to a number of opportunities.
One more question - The Mobile Device Class does not have 'Installed Software Information'. We use that Class for our laptops and mobile phones (basically our EUC estate) to keep them distinct at a high level from Servers (which are grouped under the Computer Class) with our Network kit under Network Devices. Is there any reason why 'Installed Software Information' cannot be added to Mobile Device Class?

Thanks @Steven Boardman
So that has now enabled me to access the SAM screen. However I have gone down the same rabbit warren as seen in this Forum Topic:There is a Forum message where a user has clearly integrated SCCM but I cannot find any info on how that has been done and what the product offers. I just can't tell if this module is of any value to us.
Is this indeed related to ITOM as you suggest?

I have seen mention made of Software Asset Management and in particular this screenshot:
However in our instance we only see this:
I think it is a fairly basic module and I don’t think needs to be paid for. There is very little mention of it in the wiki.
Am I missing something?

You can be on any screen. Do you see this in the top right when you click on your user Menu (3rd item down 'Start Translation Mode' is what you want to click on).

Or, if you have the correct Roles, open Translation Mode from the User Menu (click on your Icon top right and select Start Translation Mode)
Ah that's really useful. I didn't know we could do that!
Thanks

I reckon this is a bug as I have the same problem but have just never raised it as such. I have written a report which runs each week that outputs any of these mismatches. If we can get it fixed then that would be great.
