Frank Reay
I may be wrong but I recall being able to search for Assets via Asset Tag under Financial Information. However it is certainly not working now. I am going into All Assets or any specific Asset Type (as Financial Info is General across all assets) and entering a known value for an Asset Tag in the Filter Search box. It doesn't return anything so has this functionality regressed or maybe I am just getting too old and losing my memory!
Steve Giller
Are you thinking of this option in the Global Search?
Frank Reay
No but that is interesting because that search does work. However when I am in Asset Management and go into an Asset Type then the Search there does not work (same for any Type). This is where I typically do this work. James Ainsworth
While this is being looked into, are you able to use the advanced filter option to specify the Asset Tag?
Steve Giller
@Frank Reay Firstly, the pedantic moment - the filter is not a search, the subtle difference is a Search (e.g. the Global Search) is searching through all of the data, but a Filter is narrowing down the specific data that you have gathered. With that in mind, are you displaying Asset Tag field in the Assets View - if you do the filter should work.
Frank Reay
Marvellous and many thanks. You are both correct - either of those does indeed work. I think I must have removed the Asset Tag from my display screen at some point.
