Hope you are all well.  

Please would it be possible to put forward a request for a Timeline to be added  to show the history of an Asset when it is linked/unlinked?  We need to know every aspect of the asset, when the asset is linked to another asset, a person, a location etc.  We would also need to see any disassociation to the asset.  Thank you.

There is a History on an asset

But it doesn't capture the linking and unlinking of this asset with other assets at the moment.  There are no plans to add a similar Timeline as seen on a request, however I will see if it may be possible for the link asset action to be included in the Asset History, if that is what you are looking for.

@Ann FYI, an improvement to asset history is currently in progress and will be delivered within the next 90 days. Here are some early screenshots of what to expect. We are now showing an audit of asset to asset relationships, as well as displaying the original populated values when the asset was first created.

@AlexTumber please would it be possible for a screen shot of an asset being assigned to one person and then moving it to another, the history that the user has changed?

@Ann I've used the 'owned by' field here but it's the same of the 'used by' field which is also audited. You can see the old and new values, plus the user who updated the asset and the time they did it.

What I can tell you on this particular occasion is that we ran into some performance issues during testing so want to make sure those are completely fixed before the functionality is released.
