Kelvin Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 I think this may have been asked before, so feel free to link to another post. When applying emails to requests the html formatting is lost. Is there anyway to keep the formatting?
Deen Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 @Kelvin keeping the exact HTML formatting in the timeline is not currently possible, however the 'View Email' option against the timeline entry should show the email in its original format.
Kelvin Posted June 26, 2019 Author Posted June 26, 2019 @Deen Thanks for the info. I will pass this onto the team.
Victor Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 @Kelvin - I have asked dev team to look into this as I think the standard HTML tags, if they are part of the email body, and not part of the formatting of the email body (hope this makes sense) then the HTML tags should be preserved and displayed accordingly in the timeline entry...
HHH Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 We get mails from Jira which are a pain since they have them styled ad nauseum
HHH Posted October 2, 2019 Posted October 2, 2019 @Victor Timeline formatting is becoming an increasing annoyance both to our customers and analysts since code snippets are often posted as a solution. It's not only incoming emails but also if you post indented code in the send email function. Can you please check with the devs if this is something that will be done. 1
Victor Posted October 2, 2019 Posted October 2, 2019 @HHH - I have chased dev team for an update. I would also suggest raising a support request as I am not in the office (annual leave) and might not be able to reply here. My colleagues will pick up the request and progress it.
