"Public" timeline entires are not printing

I raised a support request earlier this week where @Victor confirmed that our any activity in the timeline set to "public" visibility is not being output in the printout. 

It seems to me that "public" is the broadest visibility possible so am unsure why this is omitted from printing. Can this be changed? 

This is causing a significant issue for us with auditors currently. While we can change the visibility, the volume of entires which require changing is too great.
