Martyn Houghton Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 When loading bulk contacts you can specify the logon_id, but you cannot specify a contact's password or indicate if their guest portal account should be created and whether it should be Approved or Suspended. https://wiki.hornbill.com/index.php/SQL_Contact_Import Can the tool be extended to include these facilities, so it will make migrating customers from previous systems more seamless. HHH Posted November 29, 2017 Posted November 29, 2017 +1 for this, it's a serious issue for us with over 1500 external customers
Martyn Houghton Posted June 11, 2018 Author Posted June 11, 2018 @TrevorKillick Is there any update on extending the contact importer to allow setting portal password and portal account setup. Cheers Martyn
Martyn Houghton Posted November 19, 2018 Author Posted November 19, 2018 @James Ainsworth, @Steven Boardman Can you advise if there are any plans for update/extend the Contact Importer, as it is quite important for those of us who are looking to bring on different Service Desks into a common instance and do not have the access to the initial Hornbill Switch On service to do it for us? Cheers Martyn
Martyn Houghton Posted November 19, 2018 Author Posted November 19, 2018 Trying to get this to work as much as I can, it does seem that by using the "AttachCustomerPortal": true, the account will be set to allow CustomerPortal access, using the login id you have populated in the upload. Users would then be able to use the Forgotten Password routine to reset their password, but at least you do not have to manually setup guest portal accounts for all the contact you are importing. Cheers Martyn
