We have an accessibility requirement for one of our staff who has dyslexia. He would like specific columns especially on Assets screen in different colours, to make it easy for him to read the data.
Is there a way of having an option where you can change background colour for particular fields or change default background colour?

Hi Reena,

Thanks for your post.  At the moment users are not able to configure their own colour schemes.  I would be interested to know exactly which asset screen you are referring to. Would it be possible to provide a screen shot and maybe some recommendations for colour schemes or layouts to avoid?  We may not be in a position to provide options for customizing colours for each user, but we can take into consideration the generic layouts and colours to make them more suitable.

Regards,

James

Reena,

One option that might help whilst we review the possibility of changes would be to make use of a font designed for Dyslexia. This font (available from https://www.dyslexiefont.com/en/dyslexia-font/) is free for home\personal use and in Firefox (or chrome via extension) its a simple task to change all web pages to use this rather than ours. (See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/change-fonts-and-colors-websites-use)

You can also change the background colour to help (Usually to Yellow) which should achieve your requirements.

If the above helps im sure we can look at adding more options for accessibility in the future.

Kind Regards

Hi Keith,

Please can we change the background colour to yellow, as you suggested?. Also will there be an option to turn the background colour on / off as and when needed?

Will this change affect everyone at my organisation or it can be configured for specific people?

Can you also let me know how long will it take to implement this change?

Apologies for asking too many questions in one post.

Regards,

Reena

Hi Reena,

You need to set this up in Internet Explorer. If you open IE and then open your internet options (cog at the top right > 'Internet Options') then select 'Accessibility' and turn on 'Ignore colours specified on webpages'

Hit 'OK' and then open 'Colours' Untick 'Use Windows Colours' and then select the colours for what you need.

Hope that helps
