Joy Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 Hello, We are looking to find out if it is possible to send a generic assignment email to a team, to notify when a request has been manually assigned to their request list. We intend this to be for global use, and that can be used at any point. Please can anyone assist with possible solutions?
Steve Giller Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 If you review the wiki page on Notifications - which can be within Hornbill, via email, or both - and can also be set globally or by User preference this should cover what you require. If you have any questions after reviewing the documentation just post back here. 1
Joy Posted December 13, 2023 Author Posted December 13, 2023 @Steve Giller, the documentation you signposted me to has been very helpful. Whilst completing some notification testing it appears that both notifications are currently turned on for guest.app.requests.notification.notificationType.membersTeam. The members feature isn't one that is commonly used in our organisation, however in a rare case where it has been the relevant team received the default email notification. This is a setting that we will likely wish to turn off, however I cannot locate this in our Service Manager settings (see below). Please can you advise? This also appears to be the case for some of the other notification settings listed here: https://wiki.hornbill.com/index.php?title=Service_Manager_Notification_Settings
Steve Giller Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 This is an advanced setting, so with the Include Advanced Settings checkbox cleared it won't appear by default. If you use the search function: then the relevant filters will be automatically checked, so putting membersTeam into the search will find it: 1
Joy Posted December 13, 2023 Author Posted December 13, 2023 Ah OK, the mentioned checkbox is blank by default when I navigate to this area. I don't believe this was highlighted as an advanced setting on the wiki page, so thanks very much for clarifying.
