lee mcdermott Posted August 12, 2022 Posted August 12, 2022 Hi, How would you assign a Problem to a particular lane on a board based on the results of an impact statement? So the results would be Low, Medium, High, Critical and there is a corresponding lane on a board. I would like the Problem to be automatically assigned to the correct lane based on those results. Any ideas if this can be done?? thanks lee
Steve Giller Posted August 12, 2022 Posted August 12, 2022 This should be as simple as ensuring the Lanes' names match the possible outcomes of the Assessment node, and passing that variable as the Lane Name.
lee mcdermott Posted August 12, 2022 Author Posted August 12, 2022 @Steve Giller thanks steve.. so is the below correct do you think? Will the assign to board come straight after the impact assessment? and for the assign to board ive just selected the lane as the outcome from the impact assessment?
lee mcdermott Posted August 12, 2022 Author Posted August 12, 2022 @Steve Giller or actually would it be after the wait for assessment result maybe? but the same principal that the lane selection is based on selecting the outcome of the assessment
Steve Giller Posted August 12, 2022 Posted August 12, 2022 The Lane should be populated from the Assessment node, not the Suspend (Wait for Impact Assessment) node. You will need to ensure you use a unique Result Reference value - if you use the (old) default of ResultRef the values may conflict with another node. The Add to Board node does not have to be immediately after the Assessment node, as long as the result from the Assessment node is still valid.
lee mcdermott Posted August 12, 2022 Author Posted August 12, 2022 @Steve Giller ah right thanks.. i will give it a go and see if I can work it out cheers lee
