Jeremy Posted April 25, 2022 Posted April 25, 2022 Is there a way to delete a contact within Service Manager as we are finding some duplicates and would like to remove the 'contacts' from our system as these people already have 'basic user' accounts in our system.
James Ainsworth Posted April 25, 2022 Posted April 25, 2022 Hi @Jeremy Contacts are not stored in Service Manager. You need to look under the Customers option. It allows you to archive contacts, but not delete. Archiving will remove them from view. In the list of contacts, select which contacts you want to archive, then click on the Archive button in the top right to archive the selected contacts. Only admin users have access to the list of archived users. If you don't see the option to archive, you may need to add the Contacts Admin role. Let us know if this helps.
Jeremy Posted April 26, 2022 Author Posted April 26, 2022 @James Ainsworth This is fine, but our problem is that these contacts are still appearing when archived e.g. But in the forms where we have user drop downs they appear If they are archived then my presumption should be that these accounts are not shown?
James Ainsworth Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Hi @Jeremy Archived contacts shouldn't be appearing in any drop down. Your screen shot looks like it is part of an Intelligent Capture form. It that right? Do let me know if there are other specific areas where you see this.
Jeremy Posted April 27, 2022 Author Posted April 27, 2022 @James Ainsworth no these archived accounts only show in the forms where we have 'users' listed i.e.
Guest Mohamed Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 Hi @Jeremy Thanks for that, our developers were able to find and resolve said issue
James Ainsworth Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 @Jeremy this fix will be available in the next Service Manager update.
James Ainsworth Posted May 5, 2022 Posted May 5, 2022 Hi @Jeremy This is now available in the live environment. Hope that helps. 1
