Daniel
Hi All, we can (can we?) create Auto Tasks for Asset Entity, however I can't see any app or entity available in Hornbill Automation node. I am trying to create Custom Button for Asset View to trigger the Auto Task. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks Daniel
Steven Boardman
@Daniel you can create auto task processes for assets, however you are correct there are currently no Asset entity options under the Hornbill Automation node. There is is the ability to use the Cloud Automation node and 3rd party cloud services if you are an iBridge Subscriber https://wiki.hornbill.com/index.php/Hornbill_iBridge Or the option to use Runbooks via our ITOM (Beta) https://wiki.hornbill.com/index.php/IT_Operations_Management Once created you can add them to the assets via custom buttons and calling the Auto Task process you have defined under the asset entity in the Auto Task designer in the admin console We are obviously looking at providing some asset automations, under the Hornbill Automations node, were you looking to perform any specific functions via the auto task feature? Daniel
Hi @Steven Boardman, thank you for your help. Basically I was trying to create a "Copy" button to be able to copy/duplicate an existing asset and save it as a new one. Thanks Daniel
Steven Boardman
@Daniel thanks for getting back to us, we do have a story in our development queue for cloning / copying an asset. I'll add you to the story as an interested connection and we'll post back here when this progresses
