Keith Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Hi, Just wanted to ask a quick question regarding how the mail routing to a team is designed to work. I set a specific team to allocate to in my mail routing config (se below). However this is overridden by any team allocation in the BPM. Does this make it pointless to set any team within the Routing template?
Deen Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 @Keith the template will give you a set of default values you can work with, depending on the nature of your BP's you may then find that those defaults are not required as your BP handles them instead.

Well ...yes, if you override it then... might as well not have it in the routing template However if there is a need to have different requests raised from emails allocated to different teams via routing templates then you might want to think of having the process re-designed to keep the configuration set by the routing template... in other words put a decision node which checks for a team set by a routing template and only have the BP assign the request if the routing template was not involved in that request... but if your BP has to assign the request to the same team on each request then yeah, no need to have the team configuration in the routing template...
