New Asset Class

Good morning,

We would like to have a new Asset Class added, as the current Classes are all IT related, and we now have a need to add other non-IT assets. Please could we have a new Asset Class added for Office Item?

From what I understand, there may be the possibility to create your own Asset classes coming in future; although I cannot yet see it on the roadmap.

Just to provide a bit more detail to my original post, some of the Asset Types we would be looking to add under 'Office Item' are secure cabinets, safes, etc. The fields under General Properties will be sufficient for what we need. Thank you.

If the same properties as the "General" class are suitable, you could create a Type underneath the General class for the individual items e.g. Cabinet, Safe etc for the time being? Usually a new class would have some specific properties relating to that type of asset. 
Or is there a reason why being Type specific wouldn't work for you in this scenario?

Hi @Bob Dickinson,

We are currently using our General Class for other IT-related things and we would like to keep IT and Business Services separate for any future expansion.
