Assets and End Users

Afternoon

Hope you are all well.

Please would it be possible to help/advise, if we add an asset to the CMDB that this is available for the customer to select from a drop down list, is there a setting that we can apply so that only technicians/users are able to see certain assets and not end users?  For example software that technicians use but would not be requested by an end user.

Yes, you could also have a branch node just before the asset form(s) which determines if the user is on the Service Desk or if it is a customer on the Employee Portal.  Then define each Asset form so that they only show the tabs that you want them to see.

The Service Assets tab can be a nice one to use.  You can associate all the assets that are supported under a service to that service and then expose this tab that displays these.
