Service Description

Hello,

We are starting to configure our Employee Portal. One thing we've noticed is that the Description for each Service now appears when you hover over the Service. Is it possible to have the option to make the Description visible underneath the Service please?

Hi Alisha,

Thanks for your post.  The description field is a type of field that more or less has an unlimited number of characters that can be entered.  Wiki markup can also be used within the description so it is entirely possibly for images or other formatting to be included. 

The Services widget has been designed to be clean and easy to read and navigate.  Because of the flexibility in the amount of information that can be added to a service description, if the description was to be visible below each service icon, the layout could be easily broken.  

We went the route of providing a tool tip so that the layout will be maintained while still providing access to the description.
