Scanning barcode of Assets into Service Manager

Hi All

One of my second line teams are advising that they currently are able to scan a barcode of an asset direct into SupportWorks using a hand scanner - can I check is there anything like this function within Service Manager please?

Would need to understand more about that, in suupport-works I epxect the scanner is simply entering a string into a field when you scan the barcode, if so, then yes, should work just the same in Hornbill.

Thanks for the above, I think it might be something we do not end up pursuing - apparently we used to scan the Barcode to add assets into SupportWorks but our source is now SCCM so I will check further with the team asking for this functionality

Reviving this ages old post - we are probably going to be using a stock management system with a hand scanner named Signetor https://www.signetor.com/ - has anyone else used this or integrated the data into Hornbill using Signetor at all? I will try to get some more information around how their system works, but was interested to see if anyone else uses scanners for stock management at all?
