TomW
When creating widgets for Count lists and Data lists, is it possible to set the font sizes of these relative to both the sample size and the widgets borders? When I create widgets for the above the size of the font seems to vary depending of the number of items are shown e.g. when a list shows 10 items the font is small and unreadable, when there are no items to show the font is massive and the table titles cover the entire space of the widget! Steven Boardman
Hi @TomW it is not possible to set the font size on the dashboard widgets, you can use the preview width and height of the widget to see how it will appear on different size widgets on the dashboard. you can also include a Limit the results if is a data list to keep the results manageable but not control the font size of the data that is returned, it will autosize to the available space. Steven Boardman
@TomW one of the team is going to take a look at the data list widget options and see if we can add some options in here which may help, we'll post back here and let you know how they got on in the next week or so

Steven Boardman
@TomW good progress being made on this, we're adding in Font Auto Sizing (at the bottom of the config settings) and auto scrolling where the content does not fit into the widget - sneak preview below Some tweaking and testing to do but all being well we'll make this available in the coming weeks Steve
Steven Boardman
@TomW this feature is now available in the admin tool, have a go and see how you get on You can set the Minimum and Max sizes for the font, and when the content of the widget exceeds the boundaries, auto scrolling will be invoked to retain the font size of the content. Just a little video to show the behaviour
TomW
Thanks, I've had a little experiment with this and it is looking very promising. As a suggestion it would be nice to have the ability to chose the speed at which they auto-scroll as this would make it easier to read the information shown. TomW
I did just notice that even if a datalist widget didn't scroll before as it was within the allocated space, once you have selected a scroll speed, it doesn't let you select no scroll speed.
