Guest Paul Alexander Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 Hi I thought this had been asked before but I can't see it... In Project Manager we have a couple of templates which automatically create a (large) number of tasks. If at any point we need to cancel these Projects, we have to go through each activity individually and cancel or complete them, and THEN we can cancel the Project Is there a way/could there be a way of cancelling a Project without having to do the same to each task please? thanks
AlexTumber Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 @Paul Alexander thanks for your post. Do you have this setting enabled? Alex
Guest Paul Alexander Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 @AlexTumber Aha!!! yes I do...and maybe I shouldn't! Thank you...
Guest Paul Alexander Posted January 26, 2021 Posted January 26, 2021 Hi @AlexTumber I've now used this option to cancel Projects, but I didn't realise that it didn't cancel all of the Activities and Tasks associated with that Project, so I've still got to go through each one and deal with it separately (about 600 left to do!) Are there any plans to have the functionality of cancelling a Project AND all of it's tasks please? thanks
AlexTumber Posted January 26, 2021 Posted January 26, 2021 @Paul Alexander I believe there is an issue around cancelling a system task that you don't personally own but I will feed this back to the team as it should be cancelling the lot. Alex
Guest Paul Alexander Posted January 26, 2021 Posted January 26, 2021 Hi @AlexTumber I THINK it's ok...I've discovered the 'Remove Cancelled Projects' option in the Admin tool, so I can clear it all from there, thanks. Unless I shouldn't be doing that of course?!
AlexTumber Posted January 26, 2021 Posted January 26, 2021 @Paul Alexander yes this feature is designed to remove all cancelled projects and their associated relationships. Alex
