Assets - Global View 'Display Columns'

Hi Team

When we run a global search under the assets it would be nice to have another option for search to allow us to do a refined search - like the one on the main requests view screen.

I.e. if I wanted to do a search under a room number for a particular asset type then it would not allow me to do so. Would it be possible to add a 'Display Columns' option as this would resolve the issue.

It would also be great to have a feature from the 'Details of an Asset' to allow a new Request/Incident to be logged against the asset - hope this makes sense.

Thanks for your continued support as always.

Hi @shamaila.yousaf

Thanks for your post.   This is something that we have in our backlog.  We do plan to have some similar options both in the Global Search and the Asset List as we have with the requests.  These changes are not scheduled yet but I will add you to the change and we will update the post once we start making some progress with this.

Regards,

James

Thanks, it would be great to be able to log an incident / service request from the asset details that would be great.

We can also click on the 'Linked Requests'  to pick up calls logged against that asset to define any possible duplicate calls logged also.

I'll follow up on this in due course as required.

Regards

Sxx

Hi Shamaila,

I hope the following helps with your original request.  While this is not in the Global Search, on the Asset List you now have more options for searching the details of a particular asset.

As part of the Service Manager update build 1944 (and newer) we have added additional options in the Asset tool bar:

Views
Based on each Asset Class you can now define and save unique Views to display assets that meet defined criteria. Select the columns to display for each View that you create.

Home Button
Once you have your Views defined, you can apply one of these Views to your Home Button to make sure that each time you view your Assets, you are presented with the information that is most important to you.

Advanced Filter
Looking for something specific? The Advanced Filter lets you search on the details of any asset.
