I had this this morning as well - and its now gone and Service Portfolio then worked - around the same time I got the error with saving charts on views??
-
By clicking Save a lot I can sort of see the error.... its something like
Input parameter validation error
the element <feature> was expected at location "
flowcode addChart
Application:com.hornbill.servicemanager
looked at logs and can't see anything that seems relevant.

I'm trying to create a chart against a View on the Request List...
View is working and when I then go to the chart tab I can create and show a preview of a chart but when I click Save a red error box flashes up for a micro second (too fast to read!) and the chart then isn't saved... if i close the edit box and go back to edit the view no charts are showing.
Is there a log I can check to see what the error its throwing is?
This does only appear to be happening to my login and I have |Full admin rights?!

Thanks Trevor - I did wonder if it was something to do with ownership...

We've just started looking at Document Manager in more detail and I have a person assigned as our Document Manager.
She has been added to the DocManager Admin and DocManager Library User roles but doesn't seem to have the ability to share document libraries with anyone...
The option to SHARE doesn't appear at the top of the library properties at all on a library I created but added her to with View, Publish and Edit permissions.
This is what I see below:
This is what she sees:

yes I looked at this a while back and couldn't see anything describing how the filter should be formatted.... would be very useful for me.

I'm using the LDAP Importer to import users from AD ... on the User Options section it adds them to our company and a cost centre.
The cost centres generally exist in the organisation section already - and if it does it exist then the user is added to the correct one, however if a new cost centre is created in our accounts systems this isn't automatically created in Hornbill when the LDAP import runs.
In our old Supportworks system we had the cost centre import run as a separate process before the users were imported - would I need to have the same happen in Hornbill with a separate LDAP import scheduled to run before the main user import?
I have this set on the user import at the minute:

We noticed if you switch to Source view the spell check then works as expected!

+1 from me too... we are looking to setup FAQ's pretty soon and this would be very useful for us.

Hello
Is there way of assigning a request in a BPM to a particular ROLE (rather than an individual's name?)
The reason I'm asking is that we have pushed Service Manager out to the HR department, and, although they all sit under the same team, they each have their own areas of responsibility for some calls, which are based on which Division the requester works for.
So, for instance, one HR rep is responsible for the Facilities division, and another HR rep is responsible for the Fleet department. However, for some requests, either of these HR reps could be assigned the tickets.
I've set up a few decision trees in the BPM which assign to the correct HR rep automatically in the requests which need it, and it's working fine.
However, one of the HR reps is leaving, and will be replaced by someone else...so I now need to change all of these requests so that they assign to the correct 'new' person.
What I was looking for was a way to assign to a specific role, rather than the person. That way I'd only need to change the person assigned to this role, which would save a lot of time and effort in the event that someone else leaves!
Is this possible? (I do realise that I'd have to make sure that i had to have only one person per role.....)
thanks
We do this if I've read this properly.
We have an assignment role created in Admin - System - Organisation which has 2 people in it - and I can then assign BPM tasks to that assignment role and both members can see the task.... - we have 2 job sharing SD Managers ...

Bingo! getting rid of the space has fixed it!
Thanks Again!

top image is our normal background with no bulletins published - bottom shows how it appears once a bulletin is published... middle shows bulletin image diplays fine.
-
We have a background image set on our Self Service that displays nicely - as long as no bulletins are active.
When we publish a bulletin the bulletin image/text appears OK but the normal homepage image suddenly goes blank...
Is this because the homepage image is a link whereas the bulletin background image is uploaded??

Yes I did speak to them when we signed up ... unfortunately not my decision otherwise I'd have snapped them up due to the simplification it would have brought if nothing else.
One to revisit at renewal time I think...

And there lies another issue - due to the large number of authorisers (100+!) we have we didn't buy licences for them to be able to authorise within the system - so we have a our own authorisation process as part of our BPM's that emails the cost centre manager - who then replies to this to authorise rather than authorising directly in the service portal.....
-
Thanks Victor... all users can access the portal and log calls themselves - the issue is that some of them don't want to and get a PA or secretary to raise it for them... this then causes issues with our authorisation process as the person logging the call via the portal will more than likely be in a different cost centre to the person who the request is actually for.
I've got our Pro Cap to ask who the request is for - the person logging or someone else - and the BPM then does certain things with the authorisation based on this response - but it would be good if it could actually change the customer as this would just simplify everything...
Cheers
Simon

Thanks Steven - I did have a bit of a play with it yesterday and copying the system role as you say and just removing the "raise xxx" option seems to do the trick!

Is it possible to restrict logging of new calls to our 1st Line Analysts only?
This is how we have it set in our current Supportworks environment and I;d like to carry on with this restriction in the Service Manager set up if possible?
Service Portal - Change text

Is it possible to change the text for the headings on Service Portal shown below?
I'd possibly like to change "My Documents" to just "Document Library" and "My Services" to just "Services"??
I had a look in the Admin Transalte section and could find everything but these two items!
