Asset Import: can import of assets (or other kind) create links with other parts of the system like services or suppliers?

Use case:

We have various scans of our infrastructure estate occurring and some can associate end-points and servers with 'services'. Once asset names are aligned, we thought to use an import from such tools to bring into Hornbill SM the 'link' between our servers and our service portfolio items. I am referring to the sort of link that is created in the UI through the menu system (either by linking asset from service or service from asset).

The basic question here is to ask if imports of assets can create this kind of link? If that does not, are there other ways to achieve this; or does all linking have to be done within the UI?

@Berto2002 We do have the Asset Relationship Import tool, which should do what you need.
