BPM error message "Email Approval failed with state error"

We keep seeing this error come up now and again. Two today alone


It errors the workflow.

But just a simple restart using the icon below sometimes gets it going again (but not on one of the current ones).

Anyone else getting this?

And one my agents also saw this message:


but the workflow is not using the 'helpdesk' mailbox, it's using our servicedesk mailbox in that BPM:
