Guest Paul Davis
As you will no doubt be aware Microsoft has declared the end of life of the last major version of the Internet Explorer browser, IE11. Microsoft advises IE users to change to Microsoft Edge, a browser that is faster, more secure and provides a more modern browsing experience https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/announcements/internet-explorer-11-end-of-support . Along with many other software vendors, Hornbill is also moving away from support of IE11 and whilst we are not purposefully breaking what is already working, we must also advise that future developments may possibly not work with this old browser and we will no longer be carrying out any “IE11 specific coding” to retain compatibility https://wiki.hornbill.com/index.php?title=Getting_Started . In addition to the above, the purpose of this post is to let you know that from tomorrow, users that access Hornbill from IE11 will receive an in-app informational message advising of the above and suggesting a move to a more modern browser such as Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome.
