Exporting Profiles

Sorry to post such a trivial request, how do I export my list of categories?

I need to export them, edit them for a new service and then re-import.

Hi Adam,

By Categories I assume you are referring to Request and Closure profiles (configured in the Admin tool)?

If so, unfortunately there there is not a simply way to perform this - we do not currently have bulk export/import functionality for categories. You can view and export the categories from the table h_sys_profiles either using a report or the Database Direct function. However there is not a simple option to edit and import them back in without using API calls. 

If manual entry is not an option, a bulk import of Categories may be something Hornbill Expert Services could help you with if this was required.
