AndyColeman Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Good morning, How do you rename services in Service Manager? I currently have the SLA time in the name and would like to amend. If you can point me in the right direction on where I can amend this, that would be great. I have had a look through videos but can't seem to find what I am looking for.
Dan Munns Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Hi @AndyColeman, I think that as they are connected to priorities you would have to create a new priority (from the Priorities tab) with the correct name and associate the resolve time (from the view you are in in the screenshot) Hope that makes sense Dan
Victor Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 @AndyColeman I assume (from the screenshot you posted) that you want to rename "Service Levels" (aka. priorities) and not the "Service" itself... If this is correct that @Dan Munns is right, you would need to delete the existing service level/priority and create a new one. If you do this please note that you might have BPs that will use the existing priorities to/for start timers so you would need to update those as well.
AndyColeman Posted January 27, 2017 Author Posted January 27, 2017 Thanks both for your replies. I want to rename the service priority name, so using my screenshot, I want to rename (5 day, low incident) as an example. Would that need to be done by deleting existing service level/priority? Thanks.
Dan Munns Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Hi @AndyColeman, Yes you will need to delete the old one first as if you try and associate a resolve time to a new one at the moment you will be told that there is nothing you can associate as they are all connected to existing priorities.
Victor Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 @AndyColeman then you will have to delete it... then create a new one.
AndyColeman Posted February 3, 2017 Author Posted February 3, 2017 This is now working since the last update to SM. Cheers!
