Paul Morrow
Hi Guys LDAP novice needs more info. I've been trying to use the LDAP Import utility but keep getting an error I keep getting active connection refused on two different IP's (192.x.x.x and 78.x.x.x addresses). Is there a single destination addresses I need to punch into our firewall for this this to work? Paul
TrevorKillick
Hi Paul If you white list https://eurapi.hornbill.com/INSTANCEID/xmlmc/ then you should be able to run the import tool, replace INSTANCEID with the instance id you use to access Hornbill i.e https://live.hornbill.com/INSTANCEID/ . This URL is the API endpoint we use to connect to your instance, you will also get warnings about not being able to connect to github.com but this is just a lookup we do to see if you are running the latest version its not necessary to run the utility. swcbc
Did you also create and specify an APIKey in the conf.json file?
Paul Morrow
Yip, API key was created. Problem is with our firewall allowing traffic through https://eurapi.hornbill.com/INSTANCEID/xmlmc/ Lunch,.... then back to the old SonicWALL.....
Paul Morrow
Trevor Almost but not there yet Runtime error now: invalid memory address or nil pointer dereference. Is this credentials or API issue? Current API was created using my own super-user account in Hornbill. Paul

TrevorKillick
Hi Paul Thanks the issue i can see is in the Configuration file can you change ConnectionType to just "" instead of "Normal HTTP", The issue is with the system trying to make a connection to your LDAP server. I have added a check to validate the value of this in the configuration file for the next version. Kind Regards Trevor Killick
Paul Morrow
Slap myself on head. Cheers Trevor. Looking my credentials for binding to LDAP are invalid but it does complete the test connection. Many thanks Paul
