Martyn Houghton Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 As we have created a rather larger volume of services, it would be good to have a search/filter facility on the services screen to make it easier to locate the service(s) you are trying to locate or work on. At the moment we are just using the browser search function to locate the Service we require. Cheers Martyn
James Ainsworth Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Hi Martyn, Thanks for your post. There are a few planned changes for the services list. One of these changes is to display only the services that are related to you. This could be that you are the owner of a service or that you are a member of a team that support the service. This will allow different areas of the business to keep a separation of none related services from each other. The information provided for each service at the moment is minimal. We are looking to include more information in the services list so that you can see important information without having to go into the service record itself. As with the Requests List and the Assets List, some of the features for filtering will eventually come to this list as well. The "Quick Filter" will probably be the starting point. Regards, James
Martyn Houghton Posted March 7, 2017 Author Posted March 7, 2017 @James Ainsworth Wonder if the inclusion of the 'Quick Filter' on the Services List is moving forward in the backlog? In progressive capture you can now filter by business category, so it would also be useful to have this as an option on the Services List. Cheers Martyn
James Ainsworth Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Hi Martyn, I will have a look to see where we are and also make sure that the filtering includes the ability to select the different business categories. I don't believe that this is yet within our 90 day window. Regards, James
Martyn Houghton Posted August 17, 2017 Author Posted August 17, 2017 @James Ainsworth As I am currently doing a large volume of editing and setting up of new services at the moment, having the facility to search/filter the services, especially by service category would be really helpful. Is there any further update on the planned changes to the services screen? Cheers Martyn
James Ainsworth Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Hi Martyn, I'll have a look to see where it is in our backlog. As far as I'm aware it is not in the current schedule, but I'll look to have it reviewed. James
Martyn Houghton Posted August 17, 2017 Author Posted August 17, 2017 @James Ainsworth Thanks, it might give me some hope Cheers Martyn
James Ainsworth Posted August 18, 2017 Posted August 18, 2017 Hi Martyn, We have added a simple Filter box at the top of the Services list that will let you find particular services by name. This should be available in the next Service Manager update. We will look to extend this out over time with more options for things such as category as you mentioned. I hope that this provides some help for now. Regards, James
Martyn Houghton Posted August 22, 2017 Author Posted August 22, 2017 @James Ainsworth Thanks, I keep an eye out for that in the next release. Cheers Martyn
James Ainsworth Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Hi @Martyn Houghton This is now available in the live environment as part of the Service Manager 1045 build. Hope this helps. Regards, James
James Ainsworth Posted January 11, 2018 Posted January 11, 2018 We have now also changed how the portfolio status is viewed in the Services list. The current view has collapsible sections for the different portfolio status which have some issues around the ordering and retired services are always included in your list. A status selection, similar to Request List, will be available in the tool bar under the filter. This will be included in the next update to Service Manager. The 'Catalog' portfolio status will be the default selected status. Regards, James
Martyn Houghton Posted January 12, 2018 Author Posted January 12, 2018 @James Ainsworth That will help. Any thought on adding a drop-down filter for the 'Service Category', as we are using this to separate the different 'Service Desks' we are bringing on to the common instance? Cheers Martyn
James Ainsworth Posted January 12, 2018 Posted January 12, 2018 Hi Martyn, That seems like a reasonable next feature to add to this list. I'll have a look to see what we can do. Regards, James
James Ainsworth Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 Hi Martyn, I just wanted to follow up on this post to let you know that the additional filter for the Service Category is now available. Hope this helps. Regards, James
Martyn Houghton Posted April 26, 2018 Author Posted April 26, 2018 @James Ainsworth Thanks, this will be a real help with use viewing the services via the different service desks we have on our single instance. Cheers Martyn
