Martyn Houghton Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 At the moment the email domain configuration for outgoing email from the Collaboration core has three options, for encryption - No Encryption, SSL and TLS. Can we raise an request for change to STARTLS option to be implemented as well. Thanks. Martyn
TrevorKillick Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 Hi Martyn I will raise this with the Platform development team and try and get an answer / Request reference for you. Regards Trevor
TrevorKillick Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 Hi Martyn The three Encryption Types are explained in the XMLMC API documentation here https://api.hornbill.com/docs/_types/mailConnEncryptionType , TLS is the last of the three and is in fact STARTLS. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Regards Trevor 1
Martyn Houghton Posted December 17, 2015 Author Posted December 17, 2015 Trevor We have had issues with authentication type not support being reported when our exchange server enforced STARTLS. I will extract the log details and post then to see if that clarifies the issue. Cheers Martyn
Gerry Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 Hi Martyn, Please also see this document: https://wiki.hornbil...rotocol_Support we have full support for STARTTLS which is verified in our tests against exchange server so there should not be ant problem. Another tip, when looking for stuff relating to Hornbill you can always Google. To find this page as the top page just google "Hornbill STARTTLS", we have tried to optimise out Wiki to make it easy for you to find this sort of stuff - our internal folk forget this all the time too Gerry
