Jim Posted March 28 Posted March 28 Can the following integrations be expanded to allow for device management?
Steve Giller Posted March 28 Posted March 28 Could you give some more details, please? The developers need some defined requirements if they are to look into adding functionality. 1
Jim Posted March 28 Author Posted March 28 So, using Microsoft Entra, It would be useful to be able to add a device to groups, or remove group the same as is available for users, except in a device context
Joshua Howitt Posted March 31 Posted March 31 Hi @Jim, I am looking into getting this functionality to iBridge added and will update you here once it is live. 1
Joshua Howitt Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Hi @Jim, The new Entra ID functions allowing you to automate the addition or removal of a device to a group are now live. You can find them documented here. Please let me know if you have any further questions. 1
Jim Posted April 10 Author Posted April 10 Awesome thank you for sorting so quick I will have a play tomorrow
Jim Posted April 10 Author Posted April 10 I've had a quick look into it but its still not going to be useable as there is no method to fetch the device object ID, I'm sure most people log assets as the computer name or serial number etc so we would need a way to fetch this information to then use the add groups node etc. The users has a Get method to query via upn. Would this be possible to add so it can be used in tandem with the new features? 1
Joshua Howitt Posted Monday at 16:47 Posted Monday at 16:47 @Jim, I will look into getting this added for you now. I will update you as I test the integration addition tomorrow. 1
Joshua Howitt Posted Tuesday at 15:22 Posted Tuesday at 15:22 @Jim I have updated the ibridge operations for Adding and Removing a device from Entra ID to now do a search against a Devices Name and once selected will use the selected device's ID to add or remove it from a group. Please let me know if you have any trouble with this new functionality. The new documentation can be found here.
