samwoo Posted Monday at 16:14 Posted Monday at 16:14 Good afternoon, I would like to request the ability to set the "Request Type" in the Request List View (similarly to how we can choose the Asset Class in the Asset List view) so we can show/hide Request Specific fields. I wanted a View of Change Requests, where I can see the Change Category in the Request List as a column, without having to resort to using Custom Fields to duplicate the information and there isn't currently an option to do so that I can see. If setting a Request Type against the Custom View, it will always only display requests of that type (so adding a Criteria - Request Type = Change Request would be pointless for example). If it is currently possible to display Change Request specific fields in a Custom View, then please let me know as I couldn't see how to do it. Thanks, Samuel
Steve Giller Posted Monday at 16:31 Posted Monday at 16:31 Do you mean these filters? So if you select the Change type here then Change - specific fields can be added? The Request List view is a single-table view, so I'm not sure that this is possible.
samwoo Posted Monday at 16:38 Author Posted Monday at 16:38 Hi @Steve Giller Not quite those, this idea is for where users can create/share custom views in the Request List, so you can select the columns to be displayed (including adding custom columns). I thought that would be the case, so this is a request for enhancement to make the Request List Custom Views work similar to how the Asset List view work. (In here the list of columns available are dependent on the Asset Class selected, it used to be single table though a while ago until it was changed). Sorry I'm on my phone so haven't been able to take screenshots.
James Ainsworth Posted Tuesday at 04:52 Posted Tuesday at 04:52 Hi @samwoo Those users who would like this view with the changes, do they work with any other type of request? How would they feel about having a dedicated area for just change management?
samwoo Posted Tuesday at 07:11 Author Posted Tuesday at 07:11 Hi @James Ainsworth, I think they would see that as being a lot better actually, especially if there are more specific functionality to assist with the view and management of these changes. I'm curious now
