Hi,

Just an idea we are exploring at the moment - but is it possible for Hornbill to email new basic users?

I'm possibly thinking this could be achieved using scheduled requests? But I don't know enough about these yet.

Ideally we'd like the ability to send a welcome email to new basic users once they have been created. The idea behind this is to promote portal / chat usage.

Depends on how you're creating them.

If you have a New Starter workflow, then yes, very easy indeed.

If all your onboarding in done externally (e.g. by an HR system that's separate from Hornbill) and the User is simply imported, then not directly, no.

If the latter, you could automate raising a Hornbill Request (via API or simply an email) from the system that creates the User and email from that Workflow.

It's difficult to be more precise without knowing what processes you currently have in place.
