Berto2002 Posted February 17 Posted February 17 In iBridge content pack 846 Hornbill introduced, "Cloud Automations for Microsoft Teams. Added a new operation to retrieve the text-based transcript from a Teams chat." This was a good innovation but it missed the mark in terms of our use case because we don't use Private Chats, we use Channel Conversations; we like to keep it all 'public' (within the ICT Teams). My request is for the same functionality to be added to the Channels part of iBridge. In this case it might be called "Get Message Transcript" since the "Send" and "Reply" use the word "Message". Use case: many of our important workflows like Change and Problem Management create 'conversations' - as we call them - in Teams channels where the whole ICT team can collaborate. In workflow we "Send a Message" at the BPM start, store the MessageId and then use the "Reply to Message" node to update the conversation with stages of the process along the way; peer review, approvals, deferred, reword, etc. We would very much like to be able to pull that transcript back into the Change Record at two points: 1) at the point the CR is sent for approval so it contains all the preparation conversation and stakeholder engagement and 2) at the end of the CR when it captures any follow-on discussion. Specifically, it would be useful to have start and end parameters in the Get statement which can be optionally populated to get data between two timestamps or (or default to the date/time the message was created up to current). Regards, Rob
Steve G Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Hi @Berto2002, This very requirement (getting a transcript from a Teams Channel) is already on our internal roadmap and should be available in the next iBridge content pack release. Filtering (by date range etc) is not as yet supported by the List Channel Messages API, so I'll add the requirement to the roadmap item to handle that in iBridge rather than with the API requests. Will let you know once this has been released. Cheers, Steve 1
samwoo Posted March 18 Posted March 18 +1 for getting the chat transcript for both conversation and chats with datetime filtering. Hopefully not too long now
